Riley - The intolerable fact that Poison are now beating Skid Row only makes me want to shit on The Doors even harder. Is this morally wrong? I mean, where do we draw the line on this?

Which band has worn the most makeup or has that already been discussed? I'd say it's a toss-up between Poison and Motley Crue. I'd probably go with Poison because the Crue were going for more of a 'glam-rock' look, whereas Poison just looked like slutty chicks.

Before: After: It's such a shame, really. They went from looking really cool to looking like Ellen Degeneres's long lost twin sisters.

OK-how old are you Skvor? Give me a break. You too Kool. This board needs to exist. Dammit! I voted Cinderella! DOKKEN shoulda had my vote. BREAKIN THE CHAINS is a cool song....I guess... I grew up in a household where this kinda shit was played ALL THE TIME by my PARENTS. My mom was really into Judas Priest. Everytime we take the Christmas tree down every year I wanna throw on Sad Wings of Destiny (I got her that for Christmas one year and she played it all the time) According to my brother, when she found out Halford was gay she threw all those CDs in the trash. He was able to rescue PRIEST LIVE though. They thought I was GAY cos I brought home some Echo and the Bunnymen albums one day..... Dad: Do you know what Bunnymen means? Me: No Dad: It means they are gay. Me: ? (Cmon dad! These metal guys are gay! tHEY SPEND MORE TIME ON THEIR HAIR THAN THEIR LYRICS....) I had a friend too who didnt have a boyfriend she was waiting on any one of these fuckers to come to her house. I couldnt grow my hair long cos it just got curly. We would never be romantically involved due to that. This kinda music really presented problems to me in my youth. I would be playing the beatles in my bedroom, or my bloody valentine drunk off my ass while headbangers ball circa early 90s was on the TV and stereo on nights when I was not working or hanging out with friends. I RELATE to this shit. My sister was in love with Night Ranger as soon as the Dont Tell Me you Love Me video came out. Im thinking of the video now. urgh. CONFESSION: I picked up Dawn Patrol on vinyl just to make sure they sucked......I actually enjoyed some of it.....But it was WEAK! It would be a kick ass record if they removed all the saccharin from it.....Keyboard driven and definitely STUCK in its time--

Dawn Patrol has some near-decent songs --- "Can't Find Me A Thrill" has fair riffage, "Don't Tell Me You Love Me", "Eddie's Comin' Out" --- lot easier for me to take than some of the nu-metal of today.
Dokken always frustrated me as I think they really could have rawk'd a lot more....few good tunes on an album but the filler cuts blew it for me. "Breaking The Chains" IS a favorite (along w/"Paris Is Burning" & "I Can't See You") off that album.....and I swear just 2 days ago I had "Dream Warriors" stuck in my head all friggin' morning!
