Is Melon still around to score this? If he left, who's second chair?

Is Melon still around to score this? If he left, who's second chair? Melon damn well better be here to score this thing, 'cause I'm sure as hell not going to! This list was actually Melon's idea, and I agreed to sponsor it so long as he'd score the damn thing. I guess if Melon isn't around, we'll have to sucker Riley or JohnOatesDog into doing it. I understand that Riley's got some time on his hands now, so he'd be a natural fit, right?

Melon's gone? I've been avoiding the religious talk as I don't really like to get into that...Too much ganging up on him? He gave props to the Kinks; I liked him for that...I'm simple like that.

TPFKasm deleted my original list for ya. damn right Born to Run better rank #1! I was honestly surprised to see NIN's "Closer" on a few lists. I was tempted. But Trent and I...well, we don't speak much anymore. Creative differences. And Ken correct me if I'm wrong, but I do say sir that you've created a near-perfect list. Kudos on the Instant Karma! love. And I'm changing The Waiting to Refugee, which I couldn't find as a single...now that I know.

Thanks Frag. The order sort of falls apart after about number thirty or so, but I managed to fit in (just about) all the songs that I really wanted to. I should've had Run Around Sue in there, and some of Presley's Sun or other fifties sides, as well as Chuck Berry (probably the single biggest ommission from my list: if I could change anything here, I'd add a CB tune, but the problem is choosing just one).
In the end, the Buddy Holly and Jerry Lee Lewis sides were the ones that I turn to when I want to hear music from that age, and so that's why they made the cut. If anything, that list was biased towards my personal loves -- these are songs I love to hear on the radio -- rather than towards historic impact. If this were "The Most Influential Singles" then it would be a very different list (though much, if not all, of that top fifteen would still make the cut).

Melon - When you score this list, can you list the contributors before showing us the results? This will (a) Absolve me of any responsibility, and (b) Let me know the people who need to be mocked if there's no Smiths track in there.
