Pattern Recognition was what put it over the top for me/ What an interesting song. There are some great gems in there. Dripping Dream ranks highly as well.

I'm big on "Unmade Bed" and "Dude Ranch Nurse" myself.

I'm a fan of "Mariah Carey and the Arthur Doyle Hand Cream" as well as "Pattern Recognition"; IMO two of Kim's finer moments...

C'mon guys, this is super hard! I will say have to say this: picking "Daydream Nation" is like saying that Led Zeppelin IV is your favorite album by Led Zeppelin. Cheesy, guys, cheesy. I personally like every single record that they have ever done.

Also, why isn't "Goodbye 20th Century" on there? That was a killer double LP that pissed off all of the psudeo fans and the hipsters.

I haven't followed SY too long in the grand scheme of things, only since 1999....But why do some die hards seem to hate Experimental Jet Set? I really like that one.

It's alright, but compared to some of their other output, I don't think it holds up that well, especially compared to that particular era of SY. The five albums that proceded it ( EVOL, Sister, Daydream Nation, Goo and Dirty) were all classic. And then they followed up Experimental Jet Set with Washing Machine, which in my opinion is one of their finest. Basically, Experimental Jet Set is the biggest clunker in an otherwise classic stretch for the band.

No way, that has some of their best songs! Experimental, Jet Set, and No Star is a killer record and when I saw them live on that tour those songs slayed!

Oh, it's like if it were released in another time, it might be regarded higher.... IMO it's better than Washing Machine, but I'm kinda crazy like that. I can see your point however, it was surrounded by what many see as SY's best period.

My best friend, musically, bought Experimental Jet Set... when it came out and I remember only liking the first two songs, especially the first one which I don't remember the name of. I know "Bull In the Heather" is next. I thought the rest of the album was unlistenable noise, but it's been a looooong time since I've heard it. Are there any other songs on there that aren't really anything close to "unlistenable noise"?

Glad Goo made your list. There's not enough praise for that one on this thread. They never wrote a better song than "Dirty Boots" no matter what you guys say.

Well, for me I like the following from EJST&NS: Winner's Blues (that's the 1st song) Screaming Skull Self-Obsessed and Sexxee Androgynous Mind Doctor's Orders (another on of my favorite Kim songs) Tokyo Eye

I love Goo. I know it's their "MTV record" or whatever. For a long time in high school it was my favorite SY album. Titanium Expose, Mildred Peirce, Tunic, Mary Christ, Mote...what a great album.
