Wasn't sure how far they stretched out. Just know that they're only in select places, and they cross-promote like hell with NASCAR. Yeah, they don't do the NASCAR cross-promotion in Detroit. Big surprise. The only Rally's commercials I ever remember seeing were the ones for the Big Buford that were basically just a big string of penis jokes.

The 5 best fast-food chains (GAH! I'm starting to realize I have a list for everything)
1. Popeyes(the best fried chicken in the WORLD, I tell ya) 2. Chick-Fil-A(can you tell I love chicken?) 3. Burger King(their fries suck, true, but the Whopper is the best burger on the fast-food market, hands down) 4. Arbys (lurve the Chicken Bacon Swiss - dern, chicken again - and their curly fries - mmmmm) 5. McDonalds(don't laugh - I pick them for their fries alone)

Luke is right on about Checkers. They're all over the place here in FL. Their fries kick ass, especially since you have a pretty good chance of getting this mutated fry/nugget-o-spices at the bottom of you fry cup. That is some high-quality eats right there. When I was living in Illinois for a few years, I came to miss the occasional Checkers trip. they had a Rally's in Springfield and Bloomington, but I never made the connection that they were Checkers in disguise. Otherwise I would have been there every other day.

If I'm going to eat "good" fast food, it's the grilled chicken burger at Wendy's Are you talking about the regular chicken filet, or the spicy chicken sandwich? Because the chicken filet is nothing special, but that spicy chicken sandwich totally rules. gotta agree with that. usually, if i hit fast food, it's gotta be for burgers, but the Wendy's spicy chicken is the one option i'd make instead.

Melon, I'm with you on the Whopper, but I quit eating it when they got rid of the 99 cent Whopper. Yes, the Whopper is worth more than 99 cents, but that was a fucking institution, man.
I used to always bring a piece of cheese for my Whopper to Burger King. $.49 for a frikkin' slice of cheese!? I don't think so, Burger King.
Checker's, on the other hand, not stingy with cheese at all. You get a burger with three patties? They include a slice of cheese on each patty. Oh yeah. Not like Wendy's, where the triple cheeseburger has one frikkin' slice of cheese and the thing's so dry it's like eating styrofoam.
Word on those "mutated spice nuggets" at the bottom of Checker's fries. Awesomeness.

Yeah, Burger King generally rules... Just don't eat at the one near Memorial and 71st in Tulsa... I had to use the restroom there one day during a lunch break and when I entered I noticed a BK employee using the facility. I also noticed that when he completed his duties he DID NOT wash his hands on the way out. Sick. Although something I'd notice too.

Wendy's is way too expensive. And their 99 cent menu sucks balls. Those 99 cent double cheese burgers from McDonalds are out of this world. Back in the good ol' fat days I'd order two of 'em with a diet.

Yeah, what was the point of getting a diet drink if you were already eating two giant fatty burgers?

I acquired a taste for diet coke/pepsi (either will do although my first choice is diet coke) years and years ago. Didnt drink much of anything but diet. Won't drink much else (soda wise) these days. Became a habit. Ended up being a rather good one.

It's been awhile since I've been, so I forgot that they had the regular chicken filet (which I guess is what they call the grilled chicken, right?) Thanks a lot, fuckers. I just got back from running errands - and picked up McDonald's on the way back to the office. Guess I'm having pad thai for supper tonight. Guess it's a good thing I'm joining the gym on Monday.

Oh, okay, so you just preferred the taste of the Diet to the regular. That makes some sense then. If it was for the difference in healthiness, that would have been ridiculous though.

My favorite series of comedy skits ever, fuzz.
I used to make fun of people who drank diet soft drinks at buffets and fast food spots, but now I do it all the time. I can't stand those syruppy regular soft drinks that just make me more thirsty. But when I waited tables, I needed some caffeine to keep me moving, so I'd take shots of Diet Coke in cone cupsmoving. Soon after, I was a diet soft drink addict. My afternoon Diet Dr. Pepper is just as important as my morning coffee.
