fuzz's list is interesting in so many ways: seeing the Magnetic Fields on the list is pretty awesome, but Malkmus over Face the Truth? Bold. The self-titled BSS over YFIP is a bold move I almost made, and still reconsider all the time. Blacklisted over Fox Confessor is bold as well, if only because I am of the opinion that Fox Confessor is her best work by far. But Solomon Burke, good call. That list gets an A for awesome.

I haven't heard Face the Truth yet, don't know why. But I've played the ever-loving shit out of the self-titled. And what can I say, these lists are all about personal taste, and I just like BSS and Blacklisted more (right now).

Since Mr. T hasn't been on the boards in a few days, any lists submitted after the Monday deadline should still count (esp. if you guys are counting on me to score this, in which case it'll be this weekend before I get to it).

Fox Confessor Brings the Flood captures Neko's voice in a way that she hadn't quite accomplished before. That being said, other than a handful of songs, Blacklisted is the better overall record, IMO.

Blacklisted is the better overall record, IMO. I said the same thing on another board a week or ten days ago, but I must confess Fox Confessor continues to work on me and I’ve been rethinking what I said ever since. Picked Blacklisted up above, too, but I may yet come around to Kenny’s POV.

Nice contrast between Maarts' and Kenny's lists, but both cool. I wish NdY posted here more often. I'd love to see what that chap came up with. absolutely I asked him via PM. No response. I can handle the disappointment though, and I'm keeping things in perspective. Though I hope he now dies horribly.

This is where my mum would tediously point out that if NdY suddenly dies horribly I'm going to feel really fucking guilty.

Jesus won't need to feel guilty for long ... he'll just forgive himself, or have his Father do it.

Fox Confessor for me seems to be the first really true Neko Case record. I like the somewhat unusual song structures she uses on her latest; makes it feel like the songs are shaping themselves rather than fitting into conventional writing.
