"Let Love In" will probably always be my favorite. That one was trascendental the first time I heard it.

So, I scored these on vinyl the other day. I've been on a serious 60s binge right now. There is this new record store, Backspin Records, over by my place and they had some 4 dollar goodies. This is what I got:  I don't know if anyone else has ever noticed this, but some of "Kid A" sounds a lot like this album to me.  This really cool double lp Yardbirds best of that I couldn't find a picture of.  |

Thorny recently bought me not one but two cds! The new Modest Mouse and the new Blonde Redhead! (don't you worry, kiddies, he'll have his reward...  )   reviews to come later.... enjoying the first few listens on both a lot... |

I love the new Blonde Redhead. It's already in my top 20 for the year.
I have returned my copy of the new Modest Mouse. I think it's the biggest turd I have heard in a long time. I had a really bad experience with that record. That band was my favortite band for 8 years and now........I hate them. I hate the new album, I hate everything about it. I'm done with those guys.

Broke down and made a purchase on a whim a couple weeks ago. Not even sure why, except me and my friend who owns the record store were waxing nostalgic about Sonic Youth and New Order.  Someday I'm going to treat myself to a record player, or even tables, who knows. Listening to Goo on vinyl changed my brain forever. |
