Watched White Noise today. Not bad but not great. Suffered with the ending IMO. Keatons done the same stick before. Only 2 & ½ rk popcorns. It was promising for about ¾’s of the film then began the quick downhill decent.
And BTW that's a DENSEA card pissin holds. Can't ya tell.

Watched the latest incarnation of Assault On Precinct 13 yesterday. Not ½ bad. Ethan Hawke looked like shit but did his role well enough. I’d not call it more than an ok diversion. 3 rk popcorns.

I wanted to see that rockkid! The previews made it look great, and I'm an old school Carpenter fan, so it's actually a miracle that I missed it. Rental.

Watched The Hunt For Red October (the 2nd half of it) during lunch yesterday. Still the best of the Tom Clancy films. A great ensemble cast with script to match and terrific cinematography by Jan De Bont (in the good ole' days when he was a DP).

The book was better. That says something 'cause the movie was great.

Sad that Anne Bancroft died of cancer today. Didn't know she was married to Mel Brooks. Learn something new everyday. Only movie I recall with her was:

Sad that Anne Bancroft died of cancer today. Didn't know she was married to Mel Brooks. Learn something new everyday. Only movie I recall with her was: She was married to Mel Brooks for a kabillion years or so...to me, her most memorable role was as Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate. The older seductress to Dustin Hoffman's character....remember the Simon & Garfunkel song? How could you forget this movie?!

Yeah...Bancrofts role in The Graduate will be the one she's remembered by. She will be missed. Last movie I watched: White NoiseThis movie SUCKED so hard. I was SO disappointed and it was a total waste of the 3 bucks I spent to rent it. The thing is, I had actually wanted to see it in the theatre when it first came out but never got the chance...it looked quite promising from the trailers I'd seen, even though I have never really liked Michael Keaton in anything he's done (maybe Batman). But this piece o' crap was so predictable, filled to the brim with over-used stock scare tactics that you could see coming from a mile away. There was nothing scary at all about it, and worse, it failed in making me care about any of the characters. The ending was lame, completely unsatisfying...I am sick and tired of "twists" but this flop could have used one. Thumbs WAY down on this wretched waste of time. Take a couple of hours to clean your restroom...it'll be more entertaining than White Noise.
