Best of luck with that, Rocky. Has it happened yet?
We had a very good practice tonight. Whippin Post is starting to tighten up nicely. After trying out a little of Dreams, the old Allmans' tune, as covered by Molley Hatchet, I think we'll be doing that one.
We've got a good lead on a gig; I hope we get it, and a few more too. Things have been a lot slower in that department than they were with the Mojos! 'Growing pains,' I guess.

OK, I really don't think we're that short on people who play.

Well, Dreams is going to kick some ass. Here is a view of a few of the axes. From left: Fender 12-string; 1982 Martin HD-28; 1968 Fender Mustang; Fender Mexi/Strat. I don't have any pics of the SG yet...

It sounds great! It has a hotter pickup in the treble slot; the rhythm position (which I use more) sounds like a vintage Strat. It's in semi-retirement until I get a fret job on it. I've gouged them out pretty good in some of my favority spots, so now it frets out in places. I've been playing the Epi SG the most lately.

I just restringed my Ibanez RSII, i love that little guitar. Got the little phase shifter on it, plays good, nice feeling neck. You ever see/play one of these Strat?

Can't say as I have, Shane. That has like a Strat-style body, right? I had a friend once who had a Gretch Chet Atkins Special with a built-in phase shifter that was pretty cool.

The body is kinda strat like, doesn't have the cut that thins the body out. Hold on here..... It's got this stupid pick holder on the neck, i've got my hand covering it cause it's so ugly. Any idea how to get those off without hurting the paint?

What kind of songs can you throw in all that diminished and augmented stuff like that?

Now I'm confused - which one is the Ibanez? The one on the left doesn't resemble what I had in mind for the RSII. Very nice, though. You say your hand is covering the pick holder on the neck - I don't know how that works. Please explain. What kind of songs can you throw in all that diminished and augmented stuff like that? All kinds, Shane.

Ah, we're booked on 8/28/04 at this little place. It's a good start - some of my mates could use the experience. Should be a lot of fun - we went out there tonight and sat in with the house band and it looks pretty good to me.

Sorry by neck i meant...not the neck. It's the black and white guitar, *my* left hand is coverig the pick holder. I don't want to take it off and lose paint, u know how to get em off?

Thanks for clearing that up, Shane. No, I don't have any idea how to remove the pick holder without damaging the finish. I don't think I've ever seen one.
