The first even thing about KISS that I heard was this article in a pop magazine in Holland back in 1976 or '77, never ever hearing a note of the band before...it was the news that KISS had allowed for the first time to be interviewed on American television without their make-up on. The article made clear how special that was as the band never had revealed their true identities before...only to find out that the interview had taken place, the band did appear with no make-up on but were sitting with their backs towards the cameras. Brilliant! I loved them just purely for that.

DED - I saw them on the Hot In The Shade tour as well. It was the first time in a while they had carted out some old classics, and clearly they were focussed on playing them well. Plus there was a really cute blonde standing on her chair in front of me shaking her bum during the whole show, which has less to do with Kiss than me having a short attention span.

Great or bad Kiss lyrics, depending on your vantage. I think they're both. This shit is so laughable it's it's a sin. Fucking awesome. You can't write comedy like this on purpose. No way.
From "Plaster Caster".....
Plaster caster, grab a hold of me faster And if you wanna see my love, just ask her And my love is the plaster And yeah, she's the collector She wants me all the time to inject her
From "C'mon and Love Me".....
"She's a dancer, a romancer I'm a Capricorn and she's a Cancer She saw my picture in a music magazine"
From "Burn Bitch Burn".....
"Well it's out of the fryin' pan and into the fire You bent over, baby, and let me be the driver"
From "Fits Like A Glove".....
"Ain't a cardinal sin, baby lemme in, girl I'm gonna treat you right Well goodness sakes, my snake's alive and it's ready to bite Hornet's nest, lay me down to rest, ooh I wanna shed my skin I got the urge to merge, you're cold as ice, baby won't you lemme in Night scenes, wet dreams, enough to make you drool And fire, fire, fire for the fuel"

What's even more classic is 5 year old Rileydog singing "she wants me all the time to inject her" in front of his parents, with no idea what it means, and for that matter, probably not having any idea what sexy meant, otherwise I would have been more focussed on the boobs on this cover than Gene's boots. Mom and Dad bought me this one when I was 5 actually.

Love 'em, leave 'em, love 'em, leave 'em Love 'em, leave 'em, love 'em, leave 'em, yeah Yeah, yeah

"Black Diamond" was always one of my favorite songs by Kiss but then I heard the version done by The Replacements and thought it was even better: rawer 'N nastier!

Your parents are awesome. Maybe. They bought me this one too though, so they were either naive or open mindede enough that they weren't concerned about me becoming a cock rock sexist or a raging homosexual based on the music I was listening to before i turned 8.
