pcook, my 2nd round is not official. Wait a second ... I thought you were telling us who was in the second round, so we could go ahead and vote ... that's what I was doing a few posts back! WTF ... I'm so confused ... So disregard my earlier posts ... where the hell are the original brackets, anyway? I feel like voting, dammit!

Do we honestly think that Muse and Bloc Party are the two best things the UK can provide? The Clientele and The Rakes are pretty solid, albeit with less profile. I like Clinic as well, and I think their full length catalogue started in 2000, but I probably still wouldn't rate them as high as BP or Muse.

OK, patten put in his first round of votes, and I posted the winners as I picked them. Sorry about that. Will update my posts.

Ken, there are seperate threads for the Canadian and European brackets thus far.
And I don't see anything wrong with Muse being the best thing the English can provide right now.

Thanks Luke ... I feel like a responsible RS Castaways citizen now that I've done my patriotic duty and voted.

Ok, ok. Moving my posts over there.
I am probably the only one who thinks Muse is not THAT good.

After all that cheerleading I did for Ween, they still didn't make it in! When they're obviously (at least!) a much better band from then to now than Green Day, Depeche Mode, or Super Furry Animals.
Ah well, they'd have gotten beaten out quick anyway. Like a reviewer said, "It doesn't matter, Ween fans will all know this is the best album to come out this year, and everyone else will continue not to care."
