www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNwqoEZi1GYCursive doing a live cut off The Ugly Organ disc and managing to prove that there IS room for a cello onstage as y'er thrashing about! www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXEHOS6p2o8My Morning Jacket doing a wonderful cathartic version of "Gideon" backed by the Boston Pops on the Letterman show. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ab8St0qZuD8Kelly Richey "Hey Joe" -- yeah it's lengthy but how often does a lady get to show off SRV chops? and she does like to wank..... She used to come and play at this small bar in town and my first time seeing her about scared the shit out of me when she about lost it on an endless version of "Down By The River". Nice gal to chat with tho' --- very mellow as opposed to her playing. and if Riley snuck in some Dangerous Toys, then I can slum with this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8CRVG3wL28______ "Quicksand Jesus" www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwu-2xRTfWw&mode=related&search=______ "Slave To The Grind" seriously tho' - thx for the Death Angel & 'Ryche....

All of the Cult's album Electric is brilliant. One of Rubin's best. "Wild Flower" is also awesome cranked way up, despite the obvious AC/DC rip off. Anyway... Chris Cornell's "You Know My Name" from Casino Royale. The video also shows clips from the movie. I hope this song is big for one reason only. So Chris can finally see he doesn't need those RATM idiots to make music that will appeal to a mass audience. I've only heard the song a couple of times, and even though I'm not crazy about it yet, it is nice hearing Cornell do a song without Morello and his guitar wankery.

Another video clip. Probably my favorite Fishmans song, "baby blue." www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-dwuUYZsgYInspired by the fact that their bassist was great when I saw him with Polaris on Friday.

Besides being one of the best Sonic Youth songs ever, I love the video for Bull in the Heather. Kathleen Hanna is so cute here. Awesome clip, tunes. I could care less for that other chick, who looks like she needs serious help, but Kim Gordon looks damn sexy.

There is a new Nikki Sudden album out (one half of the Swell Maps) that is pretty awesome. The Swell Maps were the shit though, that's for sure.
