Suppose to be awesome, so much so that I thought about checking it out sometime. I like documentaries.

I was waiting to rent it, because I don't know if it's something I'd want to watch over that much. If it was a concert, yeah I'd watch it a million times, like I do with my other metallica videos. But the small mom and pop video store I go to hasn't gotten it in. I figured they would have since it did so good. I'll have to bug em about it.

There are still mom and pop video stores? Not around here anymore, its mainly Blockbuster or Movie Gallery. I remember the days when you could rent at 7-Eleven or even at gas stations/carry outs. At one point there was a machine that you could rent from 24/7, but that didn’t last long.

My understanding of the Metallica movie is that it's really boring becuase all they do is whine the whole time but it's interesting because you find out these guys really are huge spoiled assholes now. I've been told by everyone whose seen it, fan or not, that you absolutely hate Lars.

Yeah I been going to the same place for like 12 years. The guy died a couple years ago, but the lady still runs it. It's cool because their older movies, starting a year or two back, are only 1$ for 5 nights. They don't make me pay upfront either. They still get new DVDs, just not as big a selection as blockbuster. I figure once I'm done tearin up their old horror movie catalogue, then I'll get a blockbuster card.
You could rent from a machine? What was that like?

It was this big glass box about the size of a Fotomat. You slide your credit card through and selected the number and a slow assed shelf would move along and drop it in the chute. It needed major overhauls, but I could see what they were going for. It was broken a lot. Today with the size of dvds seems like they could really invent one that was efficient. I used to work at a video store and I must say it was one of my funnest jobs. Didn’t pay anything but we always had a good time. One of my favorite duties was calling the people on the late list or going on “pick ups”. People are stupid.

Tough break for Johnnie, that. As much as I despised how the "Dream Team" got O.J. off, there was something likeable about him. Maybe it was that he had a sense of humor. You know, this will probably sound strange, but what you said here just triggered a weird thought association in me. Maybe Johnny Cochran was likeable because he managed to acquit a man charged with murder by the state. Now hear me out. Everyone knows how many innocent men have been put away by the State, falsely accused of murder. It happens more often than we should be comfortable with, even if it is rather infrequent. So what if a lawyer like Johnny Cochran managed to beat the System at their own game and let a murderer go free like that. What does that make it, The People 1, The State 357-? See what I mean. Even one murderer gone free is not enough to even out the scales. So put that in your pipes and smoke it. Strange thoughts on a snowy morning. R.I.P. Johnny Cochran

You haven't been to a concert until you've seen pearl jam.
I thought Jonny Cochran was pretty funny on Seinfeld.

I liked Pearl Jam when they first came out, and like U2 before them, they just became less interesting to me with each new release. Not sure why.
