IOt just occured to me some of those albums are very Australia - centric... just alot of good stuff coming out of local scenes lately, particular hung up on Epicure right now, and the new Magnetic Fields really is doing alot of rotation time in my CD player... its a truly lovely album, plenty of hooks and great little lyrical musings. Going to rank up there as a favourite for the year, methinks!!!

I haven’t bought Bo Diddly this year, but what I have (Courtney’s “Americas Sweetheart” and Switchfoots “The Beautiful Letdown” are both excellent. Going to pick up Jars of Clay new one soon too. I also want to pick up Auf De Mar.

I'm digging what I hear of Auf Der Maur. I'm in such a financial rut right now, soon as I get out of it I'm going to blow TONS on music.

Thorn: You go dig up that Optimissed song they had on the Underworld sountrack? It's as good as the best song on Greater Wrong of the Right.

I think Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes by Tv On The Radio is my favorite from this year so far, with the Modest Mouse a close second.

I've only bought the new Wilco so I'm pretty out of it.
I've been kind of wanting that Blanche album Rocky's been talking about for months and have thought of taking a chance on the Franz Ferdinand or maybe even the Sonic Youth, which I hear is pretty accessible for them (I only have Daydream Nation as of now).
