My email suffix is also being spoofed there by the same guy (Tom, obviously) who's spoofing RD. I think I'll half seriously accuse RocDoc of being somehow behind it and then get incredulous when that pisses him off, and accuse him of being biased and deliberately misunderstanding my obviously fair and even handed, though unfounded, accusations. Oh the fun we shall have.

Not being a 'Water off of a duck's back'-sort of a person and then 'letting it get to you', to me are two different things.
This sort of thing doesn't 'get to me' in the sense of really truly bothering me.
In the sense that (like many have said 'it's just a msg board') I don't usually feel something deeply personal when I comment on something here...by this point, it's 'Meh, take it or leave it'.
But there are misunderstandings, some definitely being willful because of image and expectations of a particular poster.
Maybe some of it's from the people (usually the ones I'm in biggest disagreement with...interesting) who've claimed they simply can't follow my words/meaning because of my relatively dense, multiple compound (tho grammatically they ARE 98% correct) sentences and I'll actually earnestly try to clarify...and then they'll freak on me again
It's that something's not right and I will feel a need to say something in some (not all) circumstances, make myself and my viewpoint understood and then it's over...unless of course someone like someone or someone like shin keeps compounding it either with insults or interpreting me in ways convenient to their damning viewpoints of me.
It honestly would have ended, I keep 'being asked' to correct errors (as 'someone' seems to be screaming at me), so I do.
I do try to think (in some cases, hallucinate) that there's maybe a thinking person recieving my thoughts on that other end...but again, maybe not.
Once this sorta shit peters out it IS over...days later a comment to something shin said, is NOT made with all the baggage of having called each other buggerers a coupla weeks ago.
I'll argue vehemently with thorn on CE and then talk a bit of music with him elsewhere...tho usually after a bit of time's gone by.

I checked out the new RS boards, and like most people here I'm not impressed at all. You know the reasons...:
1. Waaaay too slow
2. Ads between posts
3. Very difficult navigation
4. Multiple threads can be posted on a specific artist. A pointless feature IMO.
5. The return of the trolls
6. No profiles
7. No avatars
8. No post count
9. Scott Stapp fan

The old format was simple and I don't remember anyone having any complaints back then apart from the idiot trolls 'bombing'. That was the only thing they really needed to fix.

No real harm done, since I don't think Doc will be using something silimilar to that anymore, and there's nobody there to assign any significance to it but us, and we know better. It's just a little dig at Doc. Fwiw, it's an uphill battle trying to reserve your old username, since the trolls are adept at replacing a nearly identical character in the name, and other tricks. I'd need to register at least a dozen different versions of "strat0" such as stratO, strat_0, strat_O, etc. (hyphens are no longer permitted in names). But at least you can reserve your one true identity, I suppose. Somebody used to ape me under "strap-0," which I suppose is a clever reference to a sex toy. Don't you just love trolls?  |

The one time I was aped over there, it looked like it was an identical username to mine, but as it turned out, the fake one was underlined (I think JAC was mimed in the same way at some point). Since all usernames were underlined in posts headings anyway, it was impossible to tell the difference by looking at it. |

Yep, that was another one of their cute tricks, Rocky. It won't work like that now, since usernames are not underlined (no link to a profile). But they'll find other ways. Could be a moot point for us, the way it looks now. They'll have to break in a whole new gullible membership, if it ever develops. Poor Tok... almost all by himself over there...

As of now it's just "b3nb0rg", who declared "Lord Shin here". Whoever it is has also been mildly harassing me on AIM (and I'm talking extremely mildly) every two months or so. I honestly have no idea what the point is, because it's not agitating. I said it before and I'll say it again: gay crush.
