Yeah, I was on that board for awhile, but it is very clique-ish and if you don't fit in with the crowd, then they'll attack you. I was banned after about a month just for expressing my honest opinion on matters. There's a core cast of members in the clique, and unless you kneel down before them, they'll mess with you.
What happened to me was that several of the members were making 'dead baby' jokes on a thread I started and I sent those members private messages asking them if they could refrain from doing that on this particular thread. Instead they found that I was sensative to that and they started going crazy. One demented soul even took a photo of my 6 month old son (they have a thread there that encourages folks to post photos of their family, so in the spirit of trust I posted some of me and my son) and this guy photoshopped a picture of him eating my sons head! If ther is one thing that enrages me is people who go after my family. After that everytime I tried to post anything there were all these "I'm gonna eat your babies head" comments that I had to contend with.
The pathetic thing about that board is that the average age is over 40 years of age. After I took all of this abuse (without returning any fire even) Strat-0, the bald guy who runs the board, labeled me a troll and then banned me.
Their are some messed up people on that board for sure. But there were also a couple fairly smart and nice people--I dont knwo why the cool people even post there. Anyway, here's the address to that message board if anyone wants to see for themselves what I'm talking about:

I got kicked off of Castaways--I guess you probablly saw that coming, so I'll probablly be posting on this board more often...
Also I'm having my novel published later this year. I thought once its available I could give the information on how to order it to you, and then you could psot that on the RScastaway board. There were a couple people there who said they were interested in obtaining it, but now I have no way of contacting them...I should have gotten their emails before I got the boot. If you dont want to take on this responsibility yourself, then maybe you get Strat-0 or someone else to do it. Like I say, I have no way of reaching any one on that board...
Anyway, hope your summers going good and you are having fun starting your new life...

I'd say his book would be good for a laugh, but after trying to sift through his blog...no frikkin' way.
