Hopefully this won't get used to much. The current situation at CE is even more out of line then usual. Chrisfan has lost her mind and is deleting pretty much everything. I don't feel we being disruptive in anyway. We may not be liked very much around here but you still have to have a reason for putting us on lock down.

Obviously this is something people want to get their opinion out about. So I think it's fair game. It's a board issue. Deleteing everything is obviously only pissing people off, it's not making anything better.

CE is getting out of control with all these ridiculous new boards. There should only be one board in CE, imo, whether it be Actual Things In The News or the old CE9. CE is for talking current events--newsworthy ones, that is, and this crap hardly qualifies. How hard is that understand and accept??? Shin, you need to keep your spite and overreacting (re your infiltrating the Country board) confined to here. People who post comic book hero pics on CE also need to respect the appropriate boundaries--that's all there is to it. But I have to say that deleting posts and locking boards is going a bit overboard as well. You can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar.

well, you could make a CE main board and sticky it, while still allowing for other threads. that way, artknocker, you only have to look at the top one and not bother with the others while allowing the freedom for other conversations to go on unshackled by a 100 page superthread.
otherwise, welcome to modern day webboarding.

I started this becuase anytime we questioned, what is undenibly a strong action, it got deleted. We have to have a place to voice our complaints. This isn't just about complaining about chrisfan. JAC's thread is likely more permanant then this one. I don't beleive that strat intended chrisfan to completely stiffle any opposition, I also beleive that strat's locking threads that he never voiced any complaints about really uncool. It's his board and he can do what he wants but this facist strongarming is not the answer.

I think Chrisfan has managed to destroy her own coveted CE legacy.
I believe JACkory will be a far more tolerant, reasonable, and efficient moderator for such discussions.
Sorry Chrisfan - ya did it to yerself. I know where to go now to conduct adult discussions about contemporary events.

The CE - Actual News Events board is where this discussion belongs. Please keep discussions of current events contained to that board.
This appeared on luke's Natalee Halloway thread, WHICH HAD BEEN LOCKED DOWN.

Someone should have filled us all in on what "thread" means...
On most boards it means "TOPIC", but I guess around here folks are expected to post on one board.

Thorn, think about what you're saying here -- a bunch of people who have hated me for a long time, and made no bones about expressing it, still hate me. And I'm supposed to feel bad about somehow doing this to myself? Doing what?
