Looking over the changes in the setlist

"Orginal of The Species" has become a standard
"Until the End of the World" as well it seems

I'm hoping to hear the Boy era espically the segways from Cry-Electric co. but lately it's been missing at the previous setlists

however those fans who have been missing "With Or Without You" are happy.
Throw in a occasional "Bad" it seems instead of "40" to close

This limited edition collectible U2 Deluxe Edition boxset is handsomely constructed in a sturdy hardbound shell, measuring 5 3/4" (width) x 2 3/4" (spine width) x 5 7/16" (tall) and comes with the newly remastered and expanded 2 CD deluxe editions of the bands first three albums BOY, OCTOBER and WAR, plus room for a fourth (not included). Incld's DVD and 5 bonus tunes but I can't find a friggin' listing of what those extra songs are! Anybody have a clue? This was always a great little EP and I'd like to know what it's been fleshed out with........

When is the new U2 album supposed to come out??!! Are they waiting for the road to clear of their re - release traffic?? I was pretty intrigued by the media I was reading / hearing about their upcoming album - whereas Atomic Bomb came rather by suprise to me and left me with a bit of a "blah" feeling to be honest...

No Line On The Horizon is scheduled for around the 18th of November.
The re-release stuff is perhaps because they aren't with the Island-imprint anymore.

Don- I couldn't find any extras on the Blood Red Sun-CD either. Perhaps they refer to the added tracks on the DVD?

I'm stoked though that some of the extra stuff on Boy is from the Werchter-show in '82 where I saw them first. What a gig that was!

yeah, I'm a bit mystified on just what is going to be included on the live set.....don't see why they wouldn't tack on additional audio tracks on the CD if they're going to slap them down on the DVD.

(I need to get that Boy set...thought that from day one. and wow, to have seen them in their genesis,,,,that HAD to have been a memory!)

strong and has a little middle eastern flair of actung baby
the chorus has let's get to work and get dirty
it feels like a song you would hear right before a big sporting event montague
i like it but it's no hot revolver

Interesting mash-up of sounds (particularly when it transfers into "You don't know how beautiful"), but I'd be lying if I said that those weren't some of the worst lyrics I've heard in my entire life.

Random thoughts on very first listen

Track 1. No Line on The Horizon
very modest opening not the bombast of beautiful day or vertigo catching as stick-um on a slot wide reciever's paws
very white album beatles meets mysterious ways middle easten flair not a tradional u2 track except for edge the bridge will make a great sing along at the live show
the songs in your head are now on your mind was the best bono line here the ambient outro sounds depeche mode
so yeah i fell like were going to zoo station era u2
i'm excited

so here we go
