"Madonna's religion"...isn't that like a hodge-podge of Hinduism, Kabbalah and New Age with a few traces of abandoned Catholicism lingering on? No wonder it didn't work for you. I doubt it "works" for her, either.

Ya try to make her hybrid religion work without the dollars and it's bound to be a losing proposition.

Does anybody have any info on the release date for Juliette (Lewis) & The Licks? I cant find anything except an announcement for a June release, but nothing else. She is suppose to be fabulous live and I think Patty Scmwhatever from Hole is in the band.

The Kabbalah is a mixup of The Old Testament and Scientific laws, basically. From what I understand of it (not that I know all of it), it believes that much of the Old Testament are laws of science put in code almost. Kinda gay. I mean, really, as a concept it sounds really cool, but when they're telling me not to "have a reaction," well, we all know about me and reaction.

As for the Madonna bashing... the Kabbalah thing is turning me off. It's become way too much a part of what she represents, and honestly, kinda preachy.

C'mon, JAC, you know that Linkin Park is the greatest thing since Chrisfan.

BTW, I don't know why I thought I couldn't be an asshole. Good to know that I can. Now I can start shit with Chrisfan and have her try and play the make me look like a yahoo game. Gotta love it.

Scientology thing remains an utter and complete mystery to me, though. I always knew that L. Ron Hubbarb was a sci-fi hack writer before he turned his science fiction into one of the biggest religious scams in history, but I recently learned from Mike Davis' City of Quartz that Hubbarb was wacko in many other ways - apparently he was heavily involved in satanism and used to participate in weird black masses with other L.A. satanists. He was also a huge Aleister Crowley disciple. Kinda wonder if John Travolta and Tom Cruise know about that!!!

Didn't know that about Hubbard. I've read a little bit on Scientology (enough to know that I want nothing to do with it), and I wonder just how much of it is influenced by Crowley and/or LaVey...
I attempted to read one of his lengthy sci-fi tomes, and though I do enjoy the genre, I must say I was not impressed with his work...

Oklahoma moves to oust accused judge

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma Attorney General Drew Edmondson is seeking the ouster of a Creek County judge who allegedly engaged in improper sexual conduct during court proceedings.
Edmondson filed a petition Wednesday with the state Court on the Judiciary against District Judge Donald D. Thompson of Sapulpa.

Thompson, 57, placed himself in a position where his female court reporter viewed him using a penis pump multiple times, Edmondson alleged in the petition. The document also alleges that a court reporter saw other improper sexual conduct on a number of occasions.

The trial division of the state Court on the Judiciary presides over complaints against state judges and has the authority to remove them from the bench.

Thompson couldn't be reached for comment Wednesday, but did deny the allegations during an investigation, Edmondson's petition stated.

Edmondson said he didn't think information alleged in the ouster petition against Thompson would result in overturning any trials where Thompson presided.

Among witnesses listed in Edmondson's petition are court personnel, the Sapulpa police chief and police officers who were present at a criminal trial in Thompson's court.

Edmondson accused the judge of violating the code of judicial ethics that requires high standards of conduct, among other things. He also alleged that Thompson committed an offense involving moral turpitude.

The actions of Judge Thompson's in using a penis pump during trial where court personnel, witnesses and juries could either see or hear his actions at the least, constitutes conduct against good morals," Edmondson's petition stated.

In September 2000, Lisa K. Foster, court reporter for Thompson for 15 years, first started hearing a noise that "sounded like a blood pressure cuff being pumped up," the petition by Edmondson stated. Foster told investigators she witnessed the judge's sexual behavior "fifteen to twenty times."

Edmondson alleges that Thomspon fired Foster after hearing she had cooperated with the investigation against him.

Thompson admitted the penis pump was under the bench during a criminal trial on Aug. 22, 2003, and at other times but denied using the pump, Edmondson's petition stated.

"He testified the pump was a gag gift from a friend," the petition stated.

Thompson served six years in the state House of Representatives starting in 1975.

I really don't know too much about Scientology, but I've heard stories of it being rather cult-ish, and how Scientologists do not take criticism very well...it just seems bizarre how a science fiction writer felt compelled enough to start his own religion! But I still respect the beliefs of others, even if I don't agree with them...

Other than that bitching, let's see what else I have to talk about. I dunno what to talk about, honestly. I have rarely spoken to most of you for the past several months, and times they have changed. Yeah, sorry about that anger fest I posted up last time I was around... I guess I was pissy or something.

I miss some of you, and I think I've emailed a few of you here and there. I've been busy with the boyfriend, the guitar, friends (and their stupid bullshit drama, you'd think by my actions on the forums that I'd be the dramatic one), and my new website, which is up, but I'm not releasing the address till it's completely finished. I lost my photo editing software when I moved, and I have this new computer now so all is shite. Waiting for the boyfriend to install Adobe Photoshop on here so I can finish it up. It's a little bit of a weird website, not my usual thing, filled with stupid junk from me. No one will read it.
