Just wondering why 'mericans are so nuts about stats and records...not that I'm not impressed with Manning's touchdown-throws in one season but does that have to cover about 35 minutes of Sportscentre? Could have done with more extended highlights of the other games but I guess that the producers really, really wanted to showcase their Peyton-tribute, including all the passes he threw in this season to reach this record....

That's why Soccer will never be a Major Sport in the U.S. ... Not enough statistics !! Soccer will never become a huge US sport because a) We don't have the attention span for it b) Not enough highlights (obvious ones for the soccer novice that is) for Sportscenter and c) No commercial breaks/Periods for commercials and sponsorship I love soccer with every drop of the blood that runs through me, but even I realize that it just doesn't work here, period. Sucks, huh?

As for American Football, if the Eagles (even w/o TO) don't make the Super Bowl I'll be extremely surprised. Even with their aenemic offense they should be able to put away the Falcon and/or Packers.
Unfortunately, being a Steelers fan, I'm scared about them overlooking the Chargers in two weeks. They tend to blow home field advantages in the playoffs, and a team like San Diego can really sneak up on them.
And I wouldn't be surprised if the Colts upset New England either.

Europeans don't need commercial breaks during soccer games
The players are walking advertisements ...
Must be why "they" make the flow of the game so slow so the viewers can see the spots on the shirts ...

SD's offense is clicking and firing on all cylinders. brees' arm is a force to be reckoned with (i never thought i'd be saying this), and tomlinson is finally getting the attention he's deserved for quite some time. i still think the steelers will win that game though. super bowl prediction: pats over eagles.

The Eagels are CURSED you hear me-Stephen A Smith
Oh it's almost that time of the year,The Collapse is coming sad Really I respect the Eagels(and their imported cheerleaders) but the ? this year is will they even make the NFC championship game
STL-Scares the Eagels if they were to score 14 early cause fans and players to press/STILL I like Philly
SEA-NO GUTS/next unless they blow out the Rams to regain a swagger too many insecurties to challenge Philly espically at WR vs a healthy Secondary/PHILLY WOULD ROLL,SEA is Banged up on D-line
MIN-MY SHOW ME-TEAM THIS YEAR we know about your offense even with a rotating backfield,But where's THE D? Don't forget 2 x this team has quit remember the beating the Giants gave them in 2000 AND THE CONSTANT DISTRACTIONS they bring/PHILLY'S TOO DEEP,they'd win by at least 14 in a playoff atmosphere ***Gambling Stat**** MINN 2-23 outside the Dome in Dec since 2000
GB-Farve is OVERATED,and I still like him after saying that the OHMYGODWHYDIDIPLACETHATSTUPIDBET-TEAM in 05 their secondary would give up 80 to USC(besides Al Harris) Lambeau is a FRAUD they have not played well there Dangerous-Yes Inconsistent-Yes but who isn't in the NFC? Beat MN-YES BEAT ATL-Not likely if Vick can play just well enough for 2 quarters Beat Philly-Only if the Football Gods exact REVENGE for the ASS-Kicking earlier this Year
ATLANTA is the Team Strong enough Defense,Agressive Play-Calling and the Vick Factor, the only way Atlanta doesn't beat a weaken Eagels team is 2 Reasons
1.Turnovers 2.ATL loses to GB(duh)
NFC WILD CARD ROUND STL 27 SEA 23 MN 20 GB 23
2nd Round STL 17 PH 28 GB 23 ATL 28
NFC Championship ATL 20 PH 17 (OH THE PAINNNNNN) Not because I'm a Falcon Fan **cough**
and on to meet....
AFC THE REAL NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE
WILDCARD ROUND NYJ 14 SD 17 (IN A Downpour in SD,WOW) DEN 27 INDY 32(closer than you think)
2nd Round SD 13 PITT 17(AS I SWEAT Out and have flashbacks to 95 PLAYOFFS for My Steelers) INDY 23 NE 17(NO TY LAW NO AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME)
AFC CHAMPIONSHIP(SUPERBOWL without the 9 hr pregame) INDY 17 PITT 24
and Yes A Little Boy's dream comes true as his hometown team(PITT) takes on his team he suffered with his Dad through 12 seasons of sitting in his season tickets seats of Good,Bad,Awful Football(Atlanta) in his city he calls home,I've never seen the city as alive for the Falcons as they are right now A NEW ERA
I've been dreaming of this Superbowl since I became a football fan at 8 yrs old I'll pass out if it happens, all I want is to have a chance on Championship Sunday and then I'll see you in Jacksonville if just one gets therealready planned
Final Super Bowl Pick ATL 13 PITT 31 The Falcons aren't ready unless Vick evolves faster than I think he can would help to throw to Peerless as well MVP-James Farrior(BIG GAME couple sacks, a Def Td force a fumble)
Enjoy the Playoffs and in all honesty Eagels good luck...Your gonna need it! **CLOSES EYES AND KEEP DREAMING OF A PITT-ATL SB**

the eagles, if they play the falcons, WILL beat the one man, no-quarterback team. when michael vick grows an arm, they'll be a threat.
until then, not happening.

People love to knock Vick for his lack of QB skills, and yet look at the Falcons' record when he starts...
The boy gets it done, plain and simple. Imagine if he had a decent line and decent wideouts...

I've got a bit of a near schizoid loyalty to the Pack(THE hated rival in Chicago)merely for the fact when the Bears(so often)suck to high heaven, I need a fall-back team which I can enjoy watching.
This is no longer the year for them either. Central division...bleh.
And then...for the fact that we absolutely love Door County(the picturesque as hell Wisconsin county in which Green Bay is located - vacation nirvana!)and its wonderfully down-to-earth people and I could not help feeling their joy when the won it all that coupla years ago....
