People love to knock Vick for his lack of QB skills, and yet look at the Falcons' record when he starts... The boy gets it done, plain and simple. Imagine if he had a decent line and decent wideouts... a) How many playoff games has he won? I think it's one, but I'm not sure. b) Wideouts wouldn't make a difference, because his arm still has a way to go. And don't they have Peerless Price, unless I'm mistaken?

He's played in two full seasons, making the playoffs in both. The first time through he almost singlehandedly beat the Pack up at Lambeau, the first time they've ever lost at home in the playoffs. I believe Vick lost to the eventual champion Buccaneers the next round.
Peerless Price is terrible. One good season as a number two receiver does not a good receiver make. Vick's only real option is Crump-daddy.
I agree that Vick's accuracy and traditional QB skills are lacking, but one cannot claim that he doesn't win. And that he scares the crap out of opposing defenses.

vick has good legs. that's it. the guy has a long way to go. furthermore, he's got an ego the size of texas. the guy could use some maturation pills. also, when he beat the pack, KGB (at least i think it was him) was so sick that he had to frequently be put on oxygen. on another note, i don't think the verdict is out on price. it's easy to jump on the vick bandwagon and say it's more of price's fault, but we'll see what happens down the road.
a couple of upsets today, one of 'em shocking (jets kinda came out of nowhere). looking forward to the eagles' trouncing of the st. louis rams next week. it's a travesty that that team (the rams) had the honor of winning a playoff game. i like mike holmgren personally, but maybe it's time for him to go.

wow, another sunday upset. i was pretty confident that the pack would win the game, beforehand. heck, i thought they would make a run for the nfc championship... up until the eagles, of course.
if the vikes beat the eagles next weekend, i lose all faith in everything.

For what it's worth, I think the Vikes will pummel the Eagles next week -- if Moss is healthy that is.

well, we know he's not healthy in the head, that's for sure.
i don't think i'd be able to handle it if the vikes won. i have my hand next to the red button...
early thoughts:
falcs over rams eagles over vikes steelers MUCH over jets colts may beat pats... deserves some extra thought

NYD Falcons lost to Philly Vick played strong but got killed in the 2nd half due to the O-line(same problem now) Then the Bucs turned out the lights @ the VET on the way to their only Super Bowl win
Oh Proud slow down on the Jets as a Steeler Fan they played a solid physcial 3 1/5 quarters against Ben and if it wasn't for Pennington's 2 picks late a Bettis trick Play they had a chance to win the game.
hey The Vikings finally showed on D-fense what they could do,but a rested Philly D will be in Dante's grill all day. Minn must run the ball consistently and be prepared to see Westbrook line up in the flat with Dorsey Levins at Half-back to mess with the Viking Coverage schemes,I still like Philly but close and Moss is hurt more than you think but if Corey Chavious returns on D he might be the equalizer.
FOX is kicking themselves today for putting Vick in Primetime Sat. vs a dead team walking RAMS instead of a more compelling MN vs Phi this my friends is what happens when you Bank on Favre...
Pre-Gameday picks(2-2-BOOOOO)
Pitt over NYJ Indy vs Ne(No law, poole, seymour)
Atl over Stl(can't wait to sit in the dome Sat decked out in Red) Phil over Minn
Enjoy

Rams over Falcs (one of the better shows on turf still) Vikes over Eagles (the 10 pt vegas spread right now is absurd) Colts over Pats (with or without Ty Law, it still wouldn't matter) Stillers over Jets (in another squeaker)

...as long as Moss keeps his proverbial pants on, he can stay and go all the way with the Vikes. His hair is just killer! Not even the Funky Cops can match him in that.
Falcons Eagles Patriots Steelers.

Final Picks I can't wait till 4o'clock I'm wearing my lucky Rod Woodson jersey(14 straight since) till I have to go to the Falcons Game and wear Red it's gonna look amazing on TV
AFC
Steelers but Jets Cover(and scare the shit out of me) Best D-fense Ben saw all year and his 38 QB rating wasn't a fluke but healthy Duce and Plax allow Cowher to open it up C Martin has had great games against the Steelers in the past as well
Patriots I can't do it I can't pick against Bad Boy Bill he's had 2 weeks they've been the best 2 teams all year on balance Colts D is better than most people think But NE is that huge hurdle for Indy until they show me I can't pick them,Adam Vin. wins another one for the Pats
NFC
Falcons ohhhhhh Bulger don't throw it there! No Isacc Bruce possably,I like our chances that piss-pour Ram d-fense and everytime the national media starts doubting Vick as a QB he throws for 200 and runs for 150 Big Game for Dunn out of the flat Martz will outcoach himself Falcons by 10-14
E-A-G-E-L-S don't believe the Hype Minn. they beat an overated GB team and haven't played 2 consective good football games all around since 1998 (I looked it up) Rested Eagel D,beat up MN o-line Moss has his worst game since the 2000 quit NFC champ. game vs NYG(only playoff game he didn't score a TD in) Mcnab something to prove EAGELS BIG
I'll start getting anxious I'm guessing if it is close in Pitt late as I'm watching from The Dome tailgate area. I decided I'll miss the pre-game nonsense if the Pitt game's up for grabs before kickoff
Everyone Enjoy your NFL WEEKEND Say it with me Atlanta Falcons vs Pittsburgh Steelers in 3 weeks Talk on Monday

okay, here we go...
EAGLES VS. PATRIOTS IN 3 WEEKS!
ehr...
anyway, the teams i expect to win this weekend are:
atlanta over st. louis
mike martz will find a way to lose it. vick may not have proven himself as a passer yet, but the rams don't have anyone who can keep vick from marching down the field. falcs win.
eagles over vikings
the media has always hated philadelphia and philly fans, and they've been trying to convince people all week that the vikes very well might pull off an upset, despite the 8 or 9 points or so the vegas predictors say the birds will win by. randy moss can shake his butt all he wants, but the eagles have more offensive weapons and their defense will keep culpepper and moss from hooking up TOO much, especially since randy's playing hurt.
steelers over jets
next.
pats over colts
wow, this is going to be SUCH a great game... the offensive antics of manning, harrison, and james vs. an injured but potent new england defense. and don't forget the geniuses at work... that's right, tom brady and bill belicheck (not sure if i spelled that right) always find a way to win in these big games, and set up adam vinatieri (... not sure if i spelled THAT right) with seconds left.
i only got 1 out of 4 games right last week though, so maybe it's not a great idea to count on me...

Sweet, I'm 4 out of 4 too.
I'll bank on Falcons-Pats then.

heh, i'll give you the pats.
nobody seems to believe in us. it's a shame. i guess it's the whole "choked in the last 3 nfc championships" thing. i'm sure your logic for taking the falcons is pretty good, but anyone picking the falcs for that reason needs to get over it. the eagles are on a mission this year. i could see it in how they shutdown the vikings' offense, and in their pregame and postgame conversations. they're fired up. andy made the right decision by sitting 'em the last two games. that aided their passion to play and win.
i was wondering what randy moss and joe buck were gonna do if moss scored another touchdown. other than that one crazy fake field goal (which was either his fault or his team's fault rather than the eagles' defense stopping him), the eagles' d had his number all game. now let's just keep kearse on vick...
also, i think clubber's a colts fan (just telling by the boards icon he either has or used to have). must be a tough loss. the cold weather turned what would have been an nfl films quality classic into a boring snow bowl...
