I meant as far as carrying a whole team. 1/4 of the season doesn't really tell me much. A lot of guys can carry a team for that long when they know that their workload is about to decrease dramatically. Could he keep that up for a whole year (or, actually, several years) without the prospect of the most dominant player in the game showing back up to help him out in just a few weeks? Maybe. We'll have to wait and see. That's just too small a sample size, especially considering he knew he wouldn't have to do it for long, to really learn much.

I would say Kobe had a better supporting cast but not by much. So you could make the case than Jordan was a pretty wreckless player back in the day and that Wade is a bit above the curve at this stage in his career. And you could also argue that one was put in the postition where he had to play that way, whereas the other had the liberty of falling back on a very strong core of support players.

I thought I'd seen it all on the Roe v. Wade board. Certainly, the rockjism discussions were semi-retarded. But to propose that Wade is as good as Jordan, at all, is so beyond retarded it's unbelievable. I am shocked. Jordan couldnt even average 20 points a game if he were to put on a uniform today. D Wade would school his saggy old ass.

I think you're missing the point. No one was saying that Jordan was the greatest player right now. Obviously we meant during his playing days.
Fuck, I shouldn't even have to explain that. There's no way you're serious.

2 Seasons and a nice little playoff run do not an all-time-great make.

PEW, outside of your "Jordan was a bad person" mantra, explain to me -- rationally and logically -- how Dwayne Wade is better than Michael Jordan. And I'm talking about Michael Jordan of the 80s (or 90s if you want), not the hypothetical Jordan today. Just because Greg Ostertag could take Wilt's corpse to the hole doesn't mean he's a better player.
Also, remind me how Pippen had "a lot" better stats than Shaq. This should be fun.

And just so we're clear, tell me which Jordan we're comparing him to. There are two distinct Michael Jordans of the NBA -- the 80s pre-rings/Jackson/Pippen one and the 90s king of the world one.
Also, give me one good reason why I should believe you're not just trolling.

Jordan was the most dominant player of all time, and it isn't even close. He won six championships. This is absurd.

Jordan was the most dominant player of all time, and it isn't even close. He won six championships. This is absurd. ~How many rings did he have after just his third season? ~How many Championship MVPs did he have after 3 seasons? ~Look at Wade's first championship series stats compared to Jordan's... ~Look at Pippen's stats in the Bulls first championship series versus Shaq's... Do the research people. But beyond the stats, Jordan didnt have the team skills to take his squad to the mountain top at 23 years of age. Not until Zen master Jackson came in and took the reigns did the Bulls fly. If Jordan at 23 would have been on this Heat squad, it would bascially be like having Kobe on the team.

Not to mention Jordan's gambling debt after his thrd season. And all the groupie ass he was tagging. And not helping little old ladies across the street.
