You kidding me? 6-0 6-5? 10-5? Boston was going to win. Just remember to have that mind-set whenever you watch the NFL or MLB: Boston is going to win. Then you can never have any fun... and it almost always comes true! In order for Game 3 to have been worth its salt, the Rockies would've needed more than a 5 run rally. They never even took the lead! I'm not a Yankees fan... but I will admit that the snobbiest and otherwise most unpleasant fans I've ever met have happened to be Boston fans. Of course, that kinda comes with winning (*remembers how dealing with Cowboys fans was in the mid 90s, as an Eagles fan*), so... In a slightly unrelated note: The Rockies' base-running reminds of the Tigers' pitching errors. Absolutely inexcusable.

This has been a wonderful Series, IMHO. I've been a Sox fan since 1978, and I honestly didn't think they'd beat the Indians in the ALCS. Seeing them come back from the brink there, and now just kicking the Rockies around ... well, I can't say that it's been a suspenseful series, but it's good enough that I've watched more baseball in the last four weeks than I have in the last four years. (And that includes when the BoSox won the Series a few years back -- I was too friggin' busy to ever sit down in front of the TV. This is the first time I've felt like I could take the time to set back and enjoy a ball game since the nineties). I'd kind of like the Rox to win the next two games, just so the Series will finish in Fenway. But a sweep is fine, too.

It's funny you mention Sox-fans, proud. i constantly heard during the golden age of the Yankees that their fans were the most snobistic of the lot. Is it something that's consistent with a winning mentality? I could understand the Sox-fans in 2004- constantly being baited by (especially but not exclusively) Yankees-fans about 'the curse' (I actually think the media kept that thing going for too long), getting even was sweet revenge. But hey, I have that same 'culture' with the fans of the soccer clubs in Holland- bragging rights for the last few years have been with my team, PSV Eindhoven and my head's ballooned up because of that too...
Congrats all you Sox-fans!

Ain't no such thing as allegiance in sports.

My hunch is that he goes to the Angels. And my other hunch is that he never wins a thing there, for he is a big, fat, lousy, stinkin'...

CHOKE
(But he's still a better man than Barry Bonds. I mean... who isn't?)

So is naming the people gonna solve anything outside of casting doubt on their sporting performances?
They can't even sue for defamation- how can you prove innocence for something that a senator at least has cast some veritable doubt over?
It just has fucked the baseball fan over.

People act like steroids in 2007 is some sort of new thing. This has been going on for quite a few years and really, most people don't care.
