Live Aid Released On DVD
After nearly 20 years and an unimaginable amount of legal wrangling, the entire Live Aid concert, featuring legendary performances from the likes of U2, David Bowie, Queen, Paul McCartney, Duran Duran, Neil Young, Ozzy Osbourne, The Boomtown Rats and Kenny fucking Logins will be released on DVD.
The DVD is currently in production, but will be released on November 1 by Warner Vision International. The package will feature over 10 hours of performances, re-mastered in surround sound and a new backstage documentary entitled ‘Food, Trucks & Rock N’ Roll’.

Who would want to buy that DVD now? U2 and Duran aside, the rest of those artists were at their worst during the 80s when that event took place.

I went to the Motown Museum for the first time today with my camp. The kids were freaking horrible of course and they nearly threw us out because they were doing EVERYTHING wrong and they kept swarming around the Michael Jackson glove and hat, while the tour guide was talking about Diana Ross and others and they nearly messed up the display case. Then one kid tried to run into Barry Gordy's preserved living space which was roped off, another knocked over some chairs in the office. It was soooo annoying. I was actually interested in the place but couldn't get into it without having to yell at someone...

That sounds like a lot of fun Alexis. Were any of Wacko's ex-noses on display?

I wonder if any of the profits from Live Aid are going to go to the same Ethiopians who were starving to death back in '85.

Kenny Loggins was actually kind of good when he was in Loggins and Messina in the 70's, and maybe his first couple of solo albums too...until he became a total wuss and a corporate soft-rock Hollywood soundtrack sellout hack...

I would LOVE to go to that Motown museum. But I read in one of the books about Motown that it actually isn't that great, and that it doesn't really do justice to the great Motown legacy. Maybe they've upgraded it a bit since then.
