what's to resize? everything's fine! and hey! you came back! it's understood also that 'life' intrudes, especially when you're dealing in a msg board where any sort of attendance is spotty at best. now where the hell's phil!? j/k! you and jason look very sweet together in that first pic...tho i thought they had LAWS in napa against drinking out of a paper sack...especially one that's not even a vuitton. you 2 are sticking out like a pair of sore thumbs! you're just daredevils, aincha? and harry's the classic big ol' tabby-cat. how did cheese get his name? not flatulence i hope.....

They're shopping bags! We were at V. Sattui, which is almost as famous for it's food and beautiful picnic area as it is for Gamay Rouge. You go in, order what you want from their insane marketplace, complete with a cheesemonger & every cheese you ever wanted. Grab some wine, and everybody picnics. And of course we bought up some goodies to take home, too. It's really lovely place, and so many people here recommended it that we headed there first.
Heard ya on the Vuitton...It's a close race as to which county is snootier, Napa or Marin. Either way, we have found very wonderful friends that counter all the jerks.
Cheese - because cheese is one of our favorite things.

TRUE! I do remember having a little less than half the bottle later that night! Which seems ridiculous now that I'm thinking back - how did we not finish it? We'd had other wines and wanted to be good for the next tasting. Maybe. I think.
I've always like how I look slightly crazed in that pic.
I had assumed it was an Italian name but never checked it out.
So, truly, it's really happened, these boards are ghost towns! Fun to visit all the same. It's great to chat w/ you guys again.

Didn't Cassie pass away Jeff? Somehow I was thinking you said that a while back.....
We had a "shop cat" at work named MOJO.....probably was one incentive that even made me take the job as he looked exactly like my cat Lucky (just a tad bit smaller). The main building has two overly large overhead doors in front and usually holds 3 trucks & trailers inside with ample work space about; there's a second attached area at the back of the building where I pull my truck and tailer through another large bay door.
Mojo had the run of the place as well as dibs on the high-backed cushioned chair pulled up at the desk. With all the noise from running equipment, vehicles, skid-steerers, etc., he just dealt with it all as if we were in his way. Great cat...and usually the only one I'd really speak to when I first got in early in the morning. Fridays I always checked his feeder and water dish in the bathroom to make sure he had enough to get through the weekend with. And when it gets as cold as it does now, I always made sure he was in for the night and not locked up in one of the outer buildings. But being a cat, a mostly outside one at that, sometimes he just wasn't around when I left.
The boss' place is fairly large; several lots in size. The 'back 40' has a gravel road down it that goes by a small pond and winds up at mulch piles, boulder stockpiles, paver stacks, etc. The lots to the east are all undeveloped and wooded so Mojo had plently to area to roam and stalk around in. But you could almost count at least once a day that he'd make his presence known.
As I was locking up my truck one evening last week, the boss came out and asked if I'd seen the cat about. Seems he hadn't shown himself all weekend. Not that he hadn't gone off before but this was going on 3 days. About an hour after getting home I got the text from him that he'd found him out along the roadside.....
Mojo had been around for nine years. It just hasn't been the same around the shop since. I've caught myself looking around for him almost every day....just by habit. It really does take something out of even showing up anymore.

Great to have a shop mascot, Don - sorry you lost him.
Yep, Cassie went to kittie heaven a couple years ago. We acquired a little kittie this fall - I'll follow this up firsts chance I get...

If you want a replacement for MOJO, I've got just the beast for you...
I'll glady ship our cat to you! Free of charge
She's hate all humans equaly and will harm/maim everything that come close to her without a second thought!
Even the dog gives her a wide berth when she's around the house plotting our demise...
