i went with a friend... he went on the nor'easter and seemed to like it very much. looked creepy to me, but he kept trying to convince me otherwise. he says when you go upside down it isn't too scary because you're safe enough and it goes fast enough so that you're not upside down for too long.

Morrissey-You Are The Quary Keane-Hope and Fears Broken Social Scene-Beehives(can't shake the instrumentals in my head right now)
2 Groups I discovered who are amazing
The Start Radio 4
I've been listening to ep's and their old albums(Shakedown/Gotham) both seem poised to be huge late this year if their singles hold up the new records
Radio 4 "Party Crashers"(The Sandanista Clash Era lives!) The Start-"Only A Dream"(The best new wave dance song in years)
Patten says seek out both groups Radio 4/The Libertines Live Oct 21 @atlanta ;D ;D

I shouldn't...but...So you both are in NJ, a stone's throw from Brooklyn and apparently will never ride the Coney Island Cyclone either....man, that's a travesty....(to throw a great line from a great movie, 'Aaaah youth is wasted on the young!') NP - Rosanne Cash - Rules Of Travel Rosanne's duet with Johnny on 'September When It Comes' is a major tearjerker here.... ...plus I've got this disc doubled up with Kathleen Edwards' 'Failer'.....this disc is STAYING on for awhile.

Have fun bow!!!
RocDoc, I've never been to Coney Island, but if I went there, I might go on the Cyclone...it is a legend, after all. I guess it would depend on the lines.

if i went on the Cyclone i'd have two options: letting my stomach fly out of my throat or jumping off.

It scares you that much, Proud? It's just a roller coaster, it's not going to kill you.

...one of my absolute favorite roller coasters!
2nd maaaaybe to Dueling Dragons at Universal's Islands Of Adventure in Orlando.....tho then Great America's Viper which is a wonderful clone of the Cyclone itself, was one that I rode 4 times about a month ago...THAT one kicks ass too.
I LOVE roller coasters!
I cannot imagine being scared by one. Probably cause I rev myself up to an incredible excitement level right off the bat....

I had the same thing happen with Mrs RocDoc(long as we're using that convention.. , where she rode it once with me, after actually having run away AFTER I bought us the tickets. The offer was you couyld stay on the coaster for a second ride for 2 bucks, and I was like 'Hell yeah!'....and she was 'Nuh-uh, no effing way...' So I rode by myself, even transferring to the front seat when the stereotype Eye-talian New Yawkah attendant told me I could snatch it....shit for a coupla bucks I was gonna say 'No'? Problem is, is that seat is slippery as HELL and the lap bar sure as hell doesn't hold you in place....and on every side-to-side hairpin turn, I'd slide across the goddamn seat and SLAM into the other side of the car. Oh, I got the shit beat out of me on that little 'bonus' ride of mine... BUT, I loved every minute!

I don't know...I use to like roller coasters, but the last few years I definitely have a bit more vertigo then I ever had, and the coasters just don't have the same appeal....hell, I get dizzy pushing kids on swingsets!!!!
NP: The Killers...starting to endear.......they definitely mined the work of the 80s, groups such as Icicle Works and so forth...it is a very retro work, but rather engaging......

I LOVE roller coasters! I cannot imagine being scared by one. That's because you're not a sissy like I am. What about haunted mansions? I love those things. They're good for relieving stress, what with all the opportunities to scream and swear at the top of my lungs (in Japanese of course) they give me.
