I was listening to this:  which is a great recording of a band I saw at last year's ChicagoBluesfest(with the great Harvey Mandel, one of my fave guitaristos)...and while looking for background through Google, I then ran into this one:  ..because Double Trouble as a backing band clicks as something with possibilities. Anyone ever heard of him? Thinks of the resident electric blueshead on these boards, mmmm? Reviews are all reading 'SRV all the way!' which could be a dime-a-dozen attribution since Stevie was very admired... THEN I ran into this one:  ...and I've heard this name, but the reviews are nuts for this guy, praising him to the skies...and the title cut here is a blues version of the Tull tune... Then (in a long line of Googles, as usual) there was this one... Naw, nevermind. But you get the picture. Too bad so few of ya's get into the blues.... |

Ah! Yeah, check the year on those August posts! I think this one had stopped functioning at some point, and so another was started. I would suggest continuing at the current "Other than Death Metal..." board. Want me to lock this one?
