that first one - IS there even a 'medaryville' in indiana? i'm guessing an asian pronunciation of 'merrillville'.
the 2009 albert hall show is to die for. crystalline.

I guess it doesn't really matter which one of these is my favorite live album since they fit different mood swings.

cobain's shrill whining tone of voice put me off of that unplugged album from first listen... ~ NP: i like it when sam bream tries to be brian wilson. pretty, pretty stuff and some IS awe-inspiring.

Blast that fuckin' turd straight up into space. Listen to the sound of the eternal vacuum. Hawkwind has been floating up there way too damn long but nobody's gonna bring 'em down. You know why? Because that's where they belong. Never gonna change. So sit back, relax, drop the needle in the groove and slumber through the ritual one more time. You know you want to.

I got really blazed one night and came to the conclusion that the picture on this album cover was of an alien's belly button. Then I listened to the record and just about shit my pants when I realized what it actually was.

Yean, I met Robin Trower in Wisconsin a couple of years back. Very personable but the dogs didn't take to him well. His wife's a real looker. He signed one of my guitars and gave me a box of picks. Toothpicks. That kinda sucked.

I know it sounds kind of pathetic but perhaps the greatest moment in my entire life was the night I met the singer from Quiet Riot. They were playing a casino show and I hung out with him at the slots until 4 in the morning. He seemed to like me a lot and actually asked for my phone number. We conversed practically every night for the next couple of months but I never did get his name.

Rory Gallagher was a real hero to me. That bloody bugger could play some guitar, couldn't he? I was real shook up the day I learned he had died. Nope, never be another one like Rory.
