I personaly think that the Stones were very original. Also, it is well known that "Daytripper" lifted some Buck Owens riffs (The Beatles were big Country fans) and that Lennon has been quoted as saying "visionaries write, geniuses steal".

The Beatles stole from less obvious places but stole nontheless.

And FWIW, I'd much rather see a biopic about the Stones than the Beatles. I mean, you've got drugs, sex, and death in swinging London, and that's BEFORE we even get to Altamont ... much less the seventies! Good news: Scorsese will have a documentary about the Stones released in the fall (reportedly).

Oh yeah........
Does this mean that Scorsese will use the song "Gimme Shelter" for the 117th time?

That's my favorite Stones song, so I don't mind. But I bet we'll hear a lot of tunes. I really liked how he's used "Let It Loose", "Long Long While", and "Can't You Hear Me Knocking?"

If I was going to start a band that owed it's allegiance to both the Rolling Stones and the Beatles -- I'd call it The Silver Stones
