My ears know what they hear. I don't need validation from others to form my own opinions.

You mean 59 fine candidates. Korn does not belong. Wrong! The "candidates" are not bands; but rather, albums. And Korn has 2 in there. Tool has 3. floyd has at least 3. . . And freaking Tom Waits has 3 or 4. And Lou has 2. And eno has a few in there. See

We're talking about albums here. I even put MAD SEASON in there. A fine choice to beat out all remaining albums ever made - - irregardless of the possibility of having outdone more "worthy" bands . . .

I'd even go so far as to suggest the best album ever made is one none of us have ever heard, nor are even aware of its existence. But what do I know? *shrugs*

My ears know what they hear. I don't need validation from others to form my own opinions. Fantastic, I'm not offering validation. I'm asking you to be able to defend your choice with something more substantial then "music is awesome, man"...I agree, music is awesome but we...at least I like to over intellectualize these things. The whole point is to try to get people to think outside of personal tatses for a few minutes...seriously these guys have convinced me that a band I don't like just might be the greatest band ever...for a few minutes anyway, I think that pretty cool. To be able to see something from someone elses POV for a bit. Stop being a hippie.

Thorn, your passive-aggressive accusations don't work on me you know that it's scientifically provably that VU&N is the greatest album of all time, in that it's the most poweful artefact to come out of rock culture in the past 60 years. the rest are all nice enough albums, but they aren't the GREATEST. VU&N brings the rules (and subversions) that the rest play out their battefield games on.

Coming soon...why Exile On Main St. might be the greatest album ever.... wrong, but "Rocks Off" and "Happy" are two of the greatest songs. feel free to proceed with your thesis however
