I think Outkast have been probably the most influential artist in Hip Hop for quite awhile, far more so then Eminem anyway.

kMc - Eminem is hugely influential, man. You asked who's tryin to mimic his flow? Immortal Technique, for one pops to mind. And that guy is smokin' hot in the underground world of hiphop. I'm surprised you don't see how influential Eminem is man . . . very surprised

One underground dude mimicking him does not make him influential. Sorry guy.
I'll admit that a bunch of testosterone driven adolescent white males trying to be Eminem marks him as influential in some sense, but it makes him more of a pop fad. How many kids everyday do you see trying to hawk his style now? Because I don't see many, not at all.

Agree 100% It's crazy to think that OutKast has been out for like 13 years....that's almost unheard of in rap. Aren't they supposed to release one more album and call it a day? I've heard a rumor that the new album will have more collaboration w/ Big Boi and Dre....

BTW I bet you'd be pretty hard pressed to find much to support that IT was really influenced by Em that much.

I am with DED. I think Eminem was huge. And for a while, there were a bunch of white kids with bleached hair running around thinking they were hard. And Immortal Technique, thorn claims, is all about some Eminem. But that doesn't make him any more influential than Fred Durst. Because my little brother really liked Nookie, and so he bought a red hat that he wore backwards for about three months until he outgrew that.

haha, good one homes. Well the only reason I ventured that IT was influenced by Marshal Mathers was, I heard the influence in IT's music, thas all. It was a "signature eminem" thing I heard, something that could only have come from Mr. Mathers (yet there it was in IT's style).
I'd like to cite 2 more examples for y'all, ded, but I just haven't been listening to that much hip hop, lately. I should rectify that, of course. So if'n somethin comes up, I'll holler back.
Mainly, it's just hard for me to imagine Eminem's impact not being highly influential, is all *shrugz*
