i wanted to read back to previous posts, but boy does that 'dirt napp' bullshit interrupt things here in a stupid way.
my apologies for having gone on that way, in response to jac's usual 'just for the fuck of it' goading.
if a moderator wants to simply wipe that shit away, i sure wouldn't object in the least, because it does ruin this thread and the spirit of 'bared souls'.

I'm not saying pat-a-cake layers of pancake batter like you're Pogo the Clown or anything, just maybe some under eyeliner like Dave Navarro or something, make it easy on the eyes. |

Well, the thing is...I don't really want to discuss myself or what I believe or anything of the sort on the boards. It's not why I'm here, although I do respect that others feel differently and that this board both here and especially on the old RS boards has been a valuable tool for getting to know other posters and what not, whatever it does. But at this point, and with what the boards have turned into, I'm just here for shits and giggles. That's basically always been the prime agenda, but there was always that component of the mixture of reality and cyber reality before. Now there's facebook to actually "be myself" with as great a degree of honesty as is possible to convey in such a manner. Castaways is a place where I can just say what I want whenever I want it, with a willy nilly mixture of true and fiction, unaccountable to anyone. So I guess that's the closest I've come to baring my soul this go round.

That's basically always been the prime agenda, but there was always that component of the mixture of reality and cyber reality before.what the boards turned into, 6-7 years ago was because of aggressive shits n'giggles campaigns by a number of people here, VERY much including you as one of the worst offenders. nothing was 'sacred' and earnestness about any number of subjects was met with ridicule. i made the mistake of re-reading this 'dirt-nap' thread - viz - re-read and see precisely what i'm talking about. what THIS one became was in no small part due to your contribution. accept my congratulations.

That's basically always been the prime agenda, Man you nailed it on the head here Jac, and permit me to add, I was here for shits'n'giggles from the get go and I'd wager a whole slew of us were / are /will be here [the web, not necessarily RScastaways] forevermore for shits'n'fuckin'giggles. Shits'n'fuckin'giggles rule, and besides, what is there to be earnest about in this world, aside from taking it lightly enough to have a good time with it and give peeps a wide berth when they require it ? Some folks just take their shit too seriously I guess on these internet forums, cuz the way I see it, nerds just want to have fun. And besides, most of us are perfectly capable of being serious or whatnot so I figure, if and when some online poster requires me to be all earnest 'n'shit, I can do that. Gladly. Any fuckin' time. What can I say? I was one of the "worst offenders". So maybe I was, maybe I wasn't. What the boards turned into is nothing more than what they turned into. They weren't yours any more than they were mine or anyone else who wanted to use them however they pleased so long as they remained within the general board guidelines, none of which, mind you, held any restrictions on having a good time at the expense of others. Welcome to the Internet...I see it clearly now. All your bitterness, all your bile, all the resentment you bear towards the "worst offenders"...it's nothing but your little crybaby disenchantment at the fact that when it comes to the Castaways boards, YOU JUST DIDN'T GET WHAT YOU WANTED. It didn't suit your ideals and when folks started to have a little mischievous fun with them (in the grand tradition of the old RS boards, I might add) you take out your frustrations on all who think your grand ideal of earnestness and mutually appreciated interests are maybe fine and dandy for you but not so much us. I respect your right to have and voice opinions, tastes, proclivities...we all have them. But yours don't get shit on any more than someone else's. Certainly not mine. But I'm not here for validation. I presume to speak for a lot of others who feel/felt the same way.
I love you, man. Even though you've treated me like dirt...and there's another example of how no one gets their way on the Internet. For years I've tried to befriend you, in many different ways. But you want nothing to do with me, and that makes me sad, and it makes me want to call you a doodoo head.
And, see, you're biggest problem, as I see it, is that you will read that last paragraph and take it in earnest. When it's so fuckin' obvious I'm full of shit. So many times in so many ways people have been obvious in a similar manner and you've taken them with a bucket load of earnestness. And many is the time you've had your feelings hurt by their response. I'm sorry, but it's true. Your a sensitive fella, you are, and I am, too. So it's no wonder we butt heads like we do. We're two of a kind. Peas in a pod. Like it or not. The only difference is that I'm a Super Hero and your the guy who works at the newsstand taking my quarter for the Sunday late edition. There's honor in both, Crown. Trust me on that one.
