those idiots will never be convicted ...
Let's hope that poor girl was their only child ! !

An 11-year-old Wisconsin girl suffering from diabetes died on March 23 because of her parents’ stubbornness, called by them faith in God’s healing power.
After a period of a few weeks during which the little girl’s state worsened, the parents didn’t give up their belief that their daughter was not ill, but “spiritually attacked” and that their prayers are the only thing she needs to recover, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Even when they saw she fell unconscious on Sunday, they held on to their creed and the child ultimately died as they vehemently rejected the idea of medical care. Doctors said there is no doubt the girl could have been saved if put under medical control.
The Neumanns don’t belong to a certain religion, but they were once part of a Pentecostal community. Dale Neumann said in an interview with Everest Metro Police that his family believes in the power of prayer and that they never made use of medical techniques or personnel.
He and his wife declared they didn’t think, not even a wink, that their daughter was going to die, but were sure that it was only a test, which could be passed by means of praying. Neumann states that at some moment he thought his daughter, Madeline Kara, was weakened by puberty symptoms and nothing more.
On the last day of the little girl’s life, the parents called up some friends of theirs, the Wormgoors, because they were seemingly worried by Kara’s symptoms. The Wormgoors arrived at the home just half an hour before Kara stopped breathing. They tried to pursue the Neumanns to appeal to medical services, but the father said “he remained confident and steadfast in his belief that prayer would heal Madeline”, quoted by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. One of the family’s friends called for an ambulance, but it was obviously too late for anything else but recording the girl’s death.
The parents are charged with second-degree reckless homicide and if convicted, they will be sentenced with 25 years in prison and a $100.000 fine. The district attorney Jill Falstad explains that there is little chance that the parents may get away with such a deed, because a religious defense is out of the question, since the crux of the present matter is homicide. A child was killed and this could have been avoided. There is no God who would excuse this. And no law, either.
