They still put those stickers on CDs? I haven't seen one of those in ages. There's one on the new Strokes album.

I actually know quite a few cute metal chicks...I also know cute chicks that read comic books and play video games. Amazing.

Yeah, there is this really hot girl that I see at the comic book store that I frequent that is probably more of a crazed fan of Neil Gaiman than I am. I can't help but stare at her when she comes in. How pathetic!

I'll briefly chime in on the metal chick thing:
I've been to shows up and down the east coast by now...and honestly, most metal chicks aren't that attractive. And there's a lot of fat ones. The ones who aren't typically have all sorts of mental issues (and horrible taste in music) that I can't cope with. I tried it once for two weeks, gave up on that and started going out with my girlfriend of the present (who likes the color pink, J. Crew, and Coldplay) a week later. That was over 2 years ago.
BTW (and totally besides the point), dressing "unmetal" at metal shows is always entertainment. I mean, trolling in real life always is, but especially there, just so you can have some kid in a Iced Earth shirt ask you why it is you're at the club.

Oh yeah! I love it when all of the Metal kids here get totally pissed when the Austin hipsters go to shows at the Back Room, which is this total hesher club here in town. I personally have always loved metal, but for some reason, the indie kids here have been infiltrating the metal shows here in town. I think it's hilarious to see everyone get into a discussion on who's more metal and that epiphets that come along with it. I loved it because there was this one time when a hipster ass Waterloo employee (biggest music snobs in the world that make High Fidelity look tame) went and started trying to talk to the metal ladies there and totally got schooled and ignored by every one of them. Man, it was hilarious.

I used to ALWAYS wear my fraternity jersey into the metal bar on the strip in Lafayette. Usually there'd be a group of big ugly guys about to jump me, and I'd get some girls to surround me, then I'd end up arguing philosophy or religion or some shit with them and they'd end up buying me beer. It was way obnoxious.

Bleach? I'd say it's got more of a punk thing going on.

Its always been my belief that if you hear more indie/punk in Bleach than metal, you're just trying to block out the overt and obvious metal/Melvins worship aspects out so that you can tell yourself that you're not really listening to metal.
But you are.
(most of Soundgarden and Alice In Chains catalog is pretty clearly metal too)

Bleach is totally Stoner Rock/Dork Metal. I think it's a classic and really, I think they might actually be remembered more for that record than anything else.

I mean, trolling in real life always is, but especially there, just so you can have some kid in a Iced Earth shirt ask you why it is you're at the club. I have a question. Exactly how do you dress unmetal? Do you mean like Richard Simmons or Wham attire or maybe geek plaid pants with a pink shirt and bow tie or something? I mean most people wear, you know jeans and a shirt. Some wear black some don't. I can't help but think of Overkill everytime I run into this sort of conversation. Their song "Old School" describes what utter bullshit this 'new' phenomena of having to look cool. Here's to the old school Didn't matter if you looked cool We drank some beers and broke some heads And never gave a shit We climbed every mountain Stormed every city They said that this would never last We never gave a FUCK[/color] Bleach metal....lolololololol!!
