(the one guitarist wearing a Stones "Some Girls" shirt was funny)He's wearing the same shirt in this clip as well, though I didn't notice that it was Some Girls until I saw the other video. I'm not a particular fan of the album, but the shirt itself is kind of cool. And no, the drummer didn't gain all that weight in such a short span, Ahito Inazawa left the band before that single was released And I meant to comment on this earlier, but that interview of that heavy metal guitarist (who I've never heard of before) is fucking awesome! I feel really sorry for his mom though, she looks like suck a nice lady.

This whole thing was exceptional! I get the feeling I'm missing out on a riveting music scene.

Oh, and Mayumi Kojima is hot. No doubt about that. Though she's no Zhang Ziyi or anything.

That Blankey Jet City song was the fucking business, and the festival crowd was really lively, even in broad daylight - always good to see. I hate it when it's just a gentle sway and lip-synch job from the masses, while some skinny hippy bird at the side takes her bra off and gets her saggy dugs on the BBC. This was altogether better. Pe'z were great too. The balloons reminded me of Muse playing "Bliss", except Muse use much bigger ones and they get a wobble on. Nothing saggy there.

Yeah, me too. Well, I don't know about the hippy chick taking her bra off, but I'm totally with you on the audience thing. The Tokyo crowd can really be sedated/detached at times (it depends on the band that's playing), and it makes me want to kick them in the asses. I mean, there are certain acts where a loud reaction would be inappropriate, but I've been to plenty of shows that made me go "how can these fucking morons not dance to this music?" Oh, and that Pe'z show was in Japan, not Korea it turns out (that's what it originally said in the link!). I was wondering about that, because I knew they toured Korea, but there's absolutely no fucking way they could fill in a venue that big outside of this country. And whenever Pe'z comes up in discussion, I always like to brag that I saw them once playing in the streets of Shinuku, before anybody knew who they were. There were a lot of bands and lame guys with acoustic guitars doing street shows back then, and most of them usually suck so I usually walk right past them, but as you might imagine, these guys made my jaws drop. Oh, and here's a live clip of Fishmans. Man, Shinji Sato (RIP) was a freak. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIgnBkEX8Xw&search=Fishmans

"Ticket to Immortality" the first single from Gang of Losers, the amazing new record by The Dears. The sound of a band knocking one completely out of the park. www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOjQsS484A0&eurl=Release dates: Japan – August 23 Canada and the rest of the world (except the US) – August 28/29 USA – October 3

Japan ? August 23Canada and the rest of the world (except the US) ? August 28/29 USA ? October 3 Man, are we special or what? I don't know yet if I'll buy the album or not though - the one album I own (can't remember the title) was decent, but I liked them a lot better live.

These were all unbelievable. Cheers Jesus. Have you yourself seen Muse live before? Not yet - we're going to see them in Birmingham in November, fingers crossed. I knew you'd like them, and that bit in Butterflies & Hurricanes (second link, folks) where he suddenly throws down the gee-tar and comes over all Rachmaninov says prodigy loud and clear.
