You've GOT to have "Bodies", maybe the best song on the whole thing.
"Here Is No Why", too. And yeah, 33 and X.Y.U.
This is the most I could edit it down, and I'd never want to, really:
01. Tonight, Tonight 02. Zero 03. Here Is No Why 04. Fuck You (An Ode To No One) 05. Cupid de Locke 06. Galapagos 07. Muzzle 08. Porcelina of the Vast Oceans 09. Bodies 10. Thirty-Three 11. In the Arms of Sleep 12. 1979 13. Tales of a Scorched Earth 14. Thru the Eyes of Ruby 15. Stumbeleine 16. X.Y.U. 17. Beautiful 18. By Starlight
And I could only do that on a personal mix, as it'd just be silly to say that Bullet With Butterfly Wings shouldn't have been on the album.
Still wouldn't make a single disc, so I'd just as soon have the whole thing. I suppose I could just do a "top twelve" list, but blah, that'd be completely unsatisfying.

I actually have to admit to not disliking some songs by the Eagles in small doses. I still kinda like "Take It Easy". That's about it though.

It may be silly, but I'll say it: I hate "Bullet With ButterFly Wings". Hate, hate, hate, hate that song. It was the beginning of the end with me and Corgan.
I also have a secret fondness for The Eagles. It's weird.

I dig BWBW....I think it's one of the better Pumkins songs really. Then again, I haven't heard it in years, so I have no idea if its held up or not.

I know, it's just a nostalgia thing as my Dad is such a fan.......but man, it's nice to know that I had some credibility for a while!!!!!

I think BWBW is one of the worst songs the Pumpkins ever did...it's the one song on Melon Collie I wouldn't mind taking off. Much of this attitude it's a song that wasn't all that good to begin with and then got played way too much.
Seriously the early Eagles stuff, the Randy Meisner years, when they sounded like Jackson Browne, really isn't that bad. It's when Don Henley pulled a Phil Collins that the band went to shit. Though they were never very good.

Don Henly........ugh. While I could atleast tolerate him somewhat (I like Glenn Fry) in the Eagles, his solo stuff is the most atrocious thing to my ears. It's right up there with Michael Jackson, The Arcade Fire, Barry Manilow, Limp Bizkit, and (sorry Thorn) Korn. Makes me cringe.

"Boys of Summer" is a fantastic guilty pleasure.

Alright, even I'll admit that that song is pretty good. I also think that Don Henley is a pretty solid drummer as well.
Phil Collins on the other hand, say what you will, is a very bad ass drummer. BAD ASS.

Don Henley has a great voice...and crap songs for the most part.
Look out, though, 'cause Holzman is gonna barrel in here at any moment to defend him...although I think that his Don Henley defense is limited to solo work. I don't think his work with the Eagles applies.
