I mean, who the fuck is "Nelson", anyway? ;P I'll be damned if I know the answer to that one ... Rick Nelson's hair ballad spawn.

Thank god the 80s swallowed that up and left me free of that memory.

I voted Sonic Youth. Their four album sequence of EVOL, Sister, Daydream Nation, and Dirty is, in my opinion, the strongest, most consistently good album sequence of the 80's. But Dirty is 90s. Dirty came out in 1990, technically 80's.

I'm pretty sure that Dirty came out in '92 ... I remember getting a promo copy of it at Sound Warehouse that summer.

Dirty came out on July 21, 1992, according to AMG.
But the real question is, how can 90 be an 80?

Goo came out before Dirty. I'm pretty sure it was released in '91.

Which means Sonic Youth didn't have any albums between '88 and '91, I guess.

My three favorites bands at the time were probably Motley Crue, Kiss & Poison.

I just can't say Sonic Youth or a lot of these bands because the truth I probably didn't hear a single note from them in the 80's and applying my current tastes to that period feels like cheating. I'd love to say the Replacements but it wouldn't be true.
