Man, that Radiodread record is just terrible. I know a ton of people who dig it, but I just can't mix my Radiohead with reggae. That's just wrong.
TV On the Radio is a great band. Have you heard their new record? I think it's one of the better records to be released this year.

It would be hard for me to admit that Pavement sound like the Fall for the simple reason the The Fall are terrible and Pavement aren't. So, yeah, their are similarities but I still can't say that sound that much alike.

I haven't really heard enough from either band to vote in this one. If pressed, I'd probably go with Pavement b/c I've really liked a couple of songs from them that I've heard, and from the Pixies cuts I've heard I'd rather listen to either Husker Du, Sugar, or Nirvana.

I have listened to Return to Dookie Mountain several times, and it is bad.

Dammit, now I'm going to have to go ahead and YSI you the entire Pixies catalogue. For fuck's sake, Ken.

I have listened to Return to Dookie Mountain several times, and it is bad. I'm glad someone else feels this way. I downloaded it after reading rave reviews (from critics and posters here), and it did absolutely nothing for me. I listened to it 3 times in total, from start to finish. Eventually, I deleted it from my hard drive. Even My fucking Chemical Romance was easier on the ears than that shit... btw, Pixies it is. I'm a latecomer to them too. I only knew a few of their 'classics', so a few months ago I thought I'd download "Death to the Pixies" (their 'best of') and I enjoyed it so much that I eventually downloaded their entire catalog. Now I've got a whole CDR full of 'em. Good shit.

Because the Pixies were great. No other band of that era comes close other than Sonic Youth.
Jane's Addiction
