You can do a write in if you like...I admit some big hitters got left off the list.

FTR, I was never a big fan of Pac or Biggie. Though I think Biggie was a better rapper then Pac.

If you're gonna judge by proficiency or best flow, then no one on that list can see Talib Kweli, and that's the damn truth.

I mean, if this is the "Best Rapper" award (that is, best flow or ability to rap over complex beats) then really, Talib Kweli or Jay-Z are the best ones up there. If it's subject matter or best albums, I'll take NaS.

LOL at the spelling errors in the list. Dialated Peoples indeed! ;D
Chuck D by a country mile. The rest don't even qualify to be his toilet paper.

Kool Kieth is pretty badass flow wise, his stuff on Dr. Octagon is almost untouchable, GZA too...easily the best MC in the Wu-Tang...I'm having a hard time deciding really.

Chuck D just really isn't great skills wise, he's great for other reasons. He has better then average flow but the best? Not even close.

Most influential? Maybe. But Best? Hell naw. He's not even the best MC in Public Enemy.

Exactly. Yeah, PE's albums are great, but not because the rapping in it is awesome.

Not that I'm some expert or anything, but I know when I'm hearing someone with skill.

Where's Busta? That dude can rap faster than any of those dudes.
I voted for Q-Tip, only because his voice is really distinctive and I don't confuse him with anyone else. One of his solo albums was great too.

I still think Talib Kweli is the best up there.

Just seeing the Yak here bumps this thread to uber coolness. When was the last time the Yak posted here on Castaways?
