OK, this board is the place to say the sort of thing that could get a bunch of angry music nerds to beat the shit out of you. Whatever you want. Hypothetical examples:
Michael Stipe is more boring than a phone book. I'd rather listen to Kelly Clarkson than Neko "everybody just likes her because she's hot" Case. The Clash were a bunch of ingrates who couldn't write a catchy tune to save their lives. Chuck D should stop fighting the powers that be and should start fighting his own impulse to foist his crappy pseudo-poetry on poor unsuspecting audiences. Nick Cave is a pompous, pretentious, half-baked jim morrison wannabe who should try getting some sun.
etc etc. needless to say, the above do not actually represent my opinions. well, except the michael stipe phone book comparison. that's undeniably true.
Cheers, M

The Beatles were the worst band of the 1960s (aside from Manfred Mann, of course).
RIP Denis Peyton.

I'd rather listen to myself perform Broadway showtunes than listen to Neko "she isn't hot anyway" Case.
Then again, I love Broadway showtunes.

Brian Wilson should retire himself right back to his crazy hermit cabin and resume snorting unholy amounts of coke. I am so tired of him, the beach boys, and anyone who thinks pet sounds is a stunningly brilliant masterpiece.
Have I mentioned that R.E.M. is just about the most boring band ever to walk the face of the planet?
The only reason why I'm not convinced they are absolutely the most boring band ever to walk the face of the planet is because pink floyd might be even more boring. tough call though.
and i don't care if ken holzman has betrayed me here, radiohead is STILL the most overrated band of the 90s... and the 2000s. i LIKE experimental music. the problem with kid a isn't at all that it's experimental. the problem is that it, well, sucks.
i'm just getting started.
Cheers, M

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah suck so bad they anger me.
Not very high on sacrilege scale but I've seen them on quit few year end lists and they really are terrible.

Michael Stipe needs some schooling in razzle-dazzzle from me. REM would flourish under my showy tutelage, esp once they all learn how to high-kick.

Cheers, MI love people who hate on Kid A. That album and the one that followed were indeed, nonsense. If I wanted to hear bleeps and shit, I'd just listen to the guys who did it first (and brilliantly I might add), Kraftwerk. Radiohead are a fucking rock band. Or at least they were. As far as I'm concerned, they split up after OK Computer.
