I think Blonde Redhead may surpass Soil & "Pimp" Sessions.

I'll check out the new Local H songs, for sure...
That Vietnam record is great, but the new Bloc Party is fucking horrible.

Sometimes I like Bloc Party and then sometimes I really hate them. I haven't heard the new one though. I heard it sounds a lot like the Cure.

Does Radiohead have a new album coming out this year? Seems like I heard that.

So they say. But I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.

I still haven't heard a single Bloc Party song, and consciously intend to keep that streak going (not that that's hard, since I literally never listen to the radio or watch music television) just because I like telling people that I hate Bloc Party even though I've never heard their music.

I actually downloaded a Bloc Party album last week. It wasn't the new one, it was the previous one. I had never heard their music either. I listened to a few tracks, but it just sounded... I dunno, boring. Like I've heard that sound a million times before, and much better. That dude's voice sucks too. Now I can safely say, they suck.

skvor-cling FAITH and PORNOGRAPHY and DISINTEGRATION close to your chest my friend. Bloc Party sounds like the Cure as much as The BRAVERY sounds like Throbbing Gristle.
I hate to knock them, but BLOC PARTY is trying too damn hard. My mind, though its muddled alot, is open. I tried to listen to their latest record and the first songs lyrics made me want to take a plane to meet these guys just so I could chew them out for wasting my time. I do like the opening track off Silent Alarm though--thats alright. "I drink poison I eat glass" Other than that I cant listen. They just sound precious to themselves. I dont know why I think that....

Don't know much about 'em but "So Here We Are" is one of the best songs I've ever heard.

Believe me, I cling "Faith" as close to me as possible! I love that album so very much.
Wow......you just reminded me of the band I have always wanted to beat up: The Bravery. Those guys are terrible.
Bloc Party, Smock Party.
I will say I did hear the a couple of tracks off of thew new Arctic Monkeys and I have to say they were pretty damn good. I have always been kind of whatever about those guys too but I liked what I heard this time.

The new Arctic Monkeys is pretty boring, IMO, but I really liked the other one. The new one sounds like the old one if it wasn't written by a bunch of teenagers, which is a sorta bland concept.
First Bloc Party album is fantastic, new one not so much. I personally love that delicate sound, it's a nice getaway from your typical stripped down indie stuff and your ironic Brit pop stuff that's everywhere.

I think the first track off of the first Bloc Party record is awesome. Every song they have written after that has been fair to shit.
What do you guys think the new Interpol is going to be like now that they are on a major?
I've actually really liked the last two so I'm curious if the new one is going to be remarkably different or more of the same. Either scenario isn't going to bother me to tell you the truth.
