Kenny, here is your answer: get over it. ...those of us who were posting in the "Shin Moderator" board were, generally speaking, enjoying a bit of lighthearted fun at the expense of noone. Maybe you should think about that statement again.

I considered some much more drastic measures in dealing with the situation at CE. Oh, and you're welcome for the unbanning. The way you keep acting like a spoiled brat makes me think I made a mistake.

As long as nobody is bombing the boards or causing a terrble commotion i don't see what the use is of moderating an "open" forum.

We'rw all adults here, it's not like we have to wonder about underage kids picking up bad habits due to certain posts by members. This place is like a concentration camp in certain aspects. And i can guarantee somebody is gonna chime in with,"If you don't like it, then get tthe Hellllllllllllllllll out!!!!!!" God forbid somebody have an opinion on what goes on here.

If I opened a message board such as this one or shin's, I'd let it sprawl out into 100,000,000 different subcategories and directories and boards and threads unchecked. What-?? Is there a LIMIT to how much we can post here? Cuz if that's the case, then what you're saying makes sense, strat. But so long as this thing is allowed to spread into cyberspace for as many posts as we can manage to put up, then I don't see the problem with allowing an open forum to go largely "unmoderated", as Clubber just suggested.

Strat-0, for whatever it's worth, IMHO you've done a hell of a fine job putting this place together and keeping it up and running. You've done a fine job as moderator, and frankly you've let people get away with a hell of a lot more than what RS itself used to. When posters started putting up too many graphics, they just got rid of graphics, remember? My hat is off to you (and I think I speak for a good chunk of other long-timers here as well). If, say, 35 to 45% of my 100,000,000 boards dried up and died, were left never to be responded to again, why they'd automatically be relegated as ARCHIVES, wouldn't they?

Meanwhile, the REST - - shit, even if only 2% constituted "the rest" -- would be the boards that people bothered to post on. Everyone would know to go to THEM, and leave the dead ones alone.

Shit, I'd probably LOCK UP any "dead" boards that truly, and verily, had absolutely nothing more to add. The "dead" boards that had potential life left in em - -even if no one ever posted there again - -I'd leave unlocked, just in case.

What's so difficult about that?

What Chris says is right, Clubber. The only time you (and a couple of others) ever show up is to try and stir up shit. We are a few more than 12; you must be thinking of Shin's board.

Let me ask a few simple questions: Do you think I'm going to host a board where people insult me and the other moderators for trying to provide a viable discussion forum? Would you? How long would I last in your forum if I did that to you?
