I did. I've only listened to it once or twice, and it's not bad, but it doesn't really seem all that different than their other stuff I've heard. Wow, really? I've never heard anyone say that...I reckon I'm a bit biased, but I think all of their albums sound pretty different...I mean "Alive" sounds nothing like "Who You Are" which sounds nothing like "Marker In the Sand"...IMO, Binaural and No Code are their most unique albums. Sure, PJ has somewhat of a formula (as does most other bands), but I deifinitly think 'No Code' stands out...."Present Tense", and even the rocker "Hail Hail" are a bit different than anything PJ had done before...Plus the percussion, Mr. Jack Irons added a layer and flow that Pearl Jam never had without him...now a days w/ Mr. Cameron as the drummer, they're a bit more technical. Anyway, some of the songs may come around to you. The album took like 3 years to grow on me; at first I thought is was pure shite, now it's my favorite.

Well of course it is, because it's No Code and the others are the others. I just don't get it. No worries, we all can't enjoy the same stuff...I just have found that of my friends who dislike Pearl Jam, most seem to at least be pleasantly surprised by No Code.

*I sure hope they play rearviewmirror @ my show* (or at least blood) They've been sleeping on "Blood" this tour...the 2003 tour was the first time it was in regular rotation since the mid 90's, but so far for the 2006 tour it's been in the vault....RVM on the other hand is a staple; there's a 90% chance you'll hear it.

My dream list of Pearl Jam songs to hear live: (in no order)
Who You Are, In My Tree, Black Red Yellow, Smile, Oceans, Of The Girl, Parting Ways, All Those Yesterday's, Faithful, Rats, Fatal, Sad, Hitchhiker, All Night, Dirty Frank, Marker In The Sand, Hard To Imagine, Long Road, I Got Shit, Tremor Christ.
Most of the above songs are rarely played, if ever..."Tremor Christ" was played twice last tour, and not at all this tour so far, and "Who You Are" hasn't been played since Jack Irons left the band. Rats was just brought out of the vault this year, first time since like 1994 they've played it...

Cool, I'll refrane from discussing it till you watch it....If you have VH1 Classic, they also have been playing a Pearl Jam video block...They showed the vids for: Alive, Even Flow, Jeremy, and Life Wasted plus a bunch of clips from the 'Touring Band 2000' DVD. Unfortunately they didn't show the vid for "Oceans" or "Do The Evolution"...The latter is a really cool vid. If y'all haven't seen it, I'm sure you can check it out on YourTube.com or GoogleMusic.

Oh feel free to discuss it with anyone who's seen it already.
I don't have VH1 Classic, but I do have the Touring Band DVD. May have to pop that in soon, too, as I haven't watched it in ages ...

The performances were good and I realise that alot of the songs are sort of therapy for Ed but they only played a few songs that weren't about how much they hate Bush...even acouple songs that aren't polictical got segued into a polictical story. I was just alittle disappointed that it just kept going to back to that...alot of that is also probably the way it was edited too. I was just hoping that it'd be chance for people who aren't really fans to see they're more then just the band that hates Bush.

I was just hoping that it'd be chance for people who aren't really fans to see they're more then just the band that hates Bush. The editing was seriously one of the worst jobs ever! I was watching some of it last night and made the comment to my girlfriend how shitty the editing was....Plus, well being a fan boy and all, I would have liked to see a two hour PJ special. I mean they have over 200 songs in their catalog, and they could've told the story, play the song and repeat process. Instead it was a jumbled mess. If I were the head of VH1, I'd fire the editor(s). Plus, more songs were played, and they didn't air, that kinda pissed me off too.

The worst part of that show was how they overdubbed the band's comments over the songs. What the hell was that about? Comments and then songs. No playing them at the same time. That's garbage.
