Oh, I do, I do.
We need to plan on this, though. Can't go into this unprepared.

Why don't you come to the COOL Lafayette. Hey now -- can't us sister cities get along??? Hope you find the music scene on the upswing here in town Frag -- it HAS improved over the past couple of years. I just wish I got out more in it like I used to....meant to get down to The Knickerbocker tonight and see Gov. Davis play but crashed out too earlier. Not to mention that I have to get up early and do some work Saturday....... ah, there's always tomorrow night I suppose.

Hey, no beef, if it weren't for the food this'd be the worst city of over 100,000 in North America. And even being one of the only places in America that trumps most of the world in cuisine, this place still blows.

I don't know a thing about Lafayette other than what I've learned from you, but if it sucks that bad, you should leave. Chicago is pretty sweet. You should come here. We've even got some pretty good food here.

No, this place sucks, but I don't hate it or anything. I'm far from stuck here, and I'm moving out of town the instant I'm out of school.
I love the North, man, but it's SO FUCKING COLD!!! I know it's "a drier cold" and most Louisiana natives will tell you that it feels just as cold but with pretty snow, but fuck it. I'm stuck in the South. Maybe I'll luck out and get to an island.

I much prefer cold to the heat. I figure, if it's too cold you can always put on another layer of clothes, but if its too hot, you can only get so naked.
It's going to be in the high '90s here this weekend. If it weren't for the fact that a former co-worker of mine is in town visiting some other friends this weekend, and I want to go see her tomorrow, I probably wouldn't even leave my apartment. I fucking hate it when it's that hot. This city is really humid too, so the heat feels that much worse.
There's got to be plenty of places you could move to with the weather you like, but more to do. I would have said New Orleans a year ago, but that's not quite what it was now, eh? Does your wife like Lafayette?

We both want out eventually. And New Orleans pre-Katrina was an even worse place to live than it is now.
I'm a total weather pussy, but I've debated moving to Virginia or Penn. I'd MUCH rather just move to some politically backward hellhole near a beach, though.
As for heat, though, I LOVE the 90+ heat, and would MUCH rather sweat than have to put on socks and shoes or a coat every day. Fuck the cold.
It's weird...being happy with the place I live is such a foreign concept to me, as I've never experienced such a thing or imagined the mentality behind it. I've always assumed that I'll live in shit towns full of idiots, but the redeeming factors will be food, liquor, or physical location.
I'm way too drunk to think too deep about this, but I'm sure there's something fucked up here. About to guzzle some Alka-Seltzer and go to bed. Nighty.

I've decided I am going to post both on the new RS.com forums and here. I really hope that the forum at RS.COM and here at the Castaways get some more poster traffic coming in.

There's more traffic here than there is there. Maybe it's a "fool me once, shame on you," syndrome.

Yeah I've noticed that Strato. A part of me feels a little treacherous for posting there.

Why would you feel 'treacherous' about posting on the new RS? I post on other messageboards and I don't feel in the slightest like I'm betraying anyone. Have fun!

So the new RS board lasted about a week this time? Impressive.
