The Flames lose 2 in a row at home. Who would have thought that?
Lets not forget about the NHL playoffs. If Philly lose, and Calgary win, look for a great Cup Finals.

And why are American networks giving us crappy NHL playoff schedules? they're trying to hold the game back.

Where the hell is Jim anyway?
Id love to see Steve Mariucci take the Lions deep into the playoffs. Harrington has the talent and the arm.

regarding the NFL. Ive sold my soul and will no longer pull for the 49ers. Rattay is solid, but Erickson was a horrible coaching move, and Owens was a terrbible trade away.
Im an Eagles fan now. fuck it.

Haha, that's hilarious. Wtf is up with the Niners anyway? They went from being a pretty solid team no more than three years ago, to what could be one of the worst teams in football. Yikes.
And I want everyone to stop all the Lions hyping, right now. It's making me sulk.
Go Bears!

as far as the niners are concerned, i shouldnt care should I?
I guess Mariucci wanted too much power in the organization so they shafted him. I thought he was a great coach, showed a lot of faith in Jeff Garcia, and Garcia stepped up.
Now they wanted rid of Owens (obviously), release Garcia because of drunk driving, and have a bad coach IMO.
Rattay might blossom, but im not so sure it will happen under Erickson.(sp?) Do they even still have Tai Streets?

I played 9 holes today. 4 pars and a birdie. Played those holes extremely well. a 39. Wish we were playing 18.

I don't think so regarding Streets. Didn't one of the guys say above that he's on the Lions now. I think that the Niners are depending on Rattay to keep playing like he did in Garcia's absence, or possibly have Ken Dorsey blossom. I'm not a betting man, but my guess is that neither will happen. Their team has become rather anonymous now, hasn't it? Kevan Barlow, Rattay, and.... If Mooch brings the Lions to the playoffs, it'll be the perfect insult to his old boss(es). It may not happen this year, but it seems like the Lions are on track. Given that Favre is on the decline, and the Vikings never seem to pull through, the Lions (and Bears!) could easily luck into a pretty good record in the near future.

The Lions or the Bears would be exciting. But i like Mariucci, i have to root for him.
Im basically going to root for the Eagles because i hate Rush Limbaugh and love Terrell Owens. Im sure Rush hates Owens, but Rush might still like me.
The Bears gotta bring back Ditka.

Sammy Sosa got hurt from sneezing. Wow, those baseball players sure can deal with pain. Once these guys get past the fear of a fast pitch is there really anything else courageous that they do?

Yeah, that's such a huge shocker considering what finely tuned athletes those guys are.

Baseball is still a great game. It can't be denied.
Calgary look good after 1 period here. Iginla might be the best hockey player in the world, i have to agree with whoever said it on the old boards a few days back, i can't argue it anyway.
Sutter for coach of the year.

Iginla is not the best hockey player in the world. He's probably the best one left playing though. (Three posts and I'm already making asshole comments about hockey, sheesh.)

Well if he's not the best player in the world, he's gotta be the most valuable to any club overall. He does everything. Intelligence, speed, grit, vision, discipline and talent with an amazing ability to score often. He's also a great captain and is willing to to be coached and continue getting better.
If you were to draft an NHL team today in an open draft, who could be more valuable? Sakic maybe, but Sakic isn't 27 anymore.

Rattay is solid, but Erickson was a horrible coaching move
I never did understand why they hired Erickson. Never was a good NFL coach, never will be. And, yes, they let both Owens AND Streets get away. Streets has come home to Michigan.
Speaking of coaching moves, whaddya think of Dennis Green being hired by Arizona. Can he turn that sad Cardinals franchise around?
