Poor cardinal fans.....are there any left? You gotta love the receiving core of the cards but how can Green think that McCown can get the job done? He must have seen something that I didn't because I thought he sucked last year in the few games I saw him in. I think it is gonna be another dreadful season for the Cards until Green realizes that he has to have an established QB. Why didn't they go after Collins or Couch? I see that I'm a moderator now. No Colts bashing will be tolerated

If I was gonna pick a guy to build a team around, I'd have no problem taking someone who's older and has a Cup or two already. If (and probably when the way the guy's playing these days) Iginla wins one, I'd find it a lot easier to consider him as the top overall player.
Really though, I just don't want Calgary to win. [glow=blue,2,300]GO SHARKS![/glow]

...and I'm hoping Philly's up for tying the series tonight.
A team from Fla has no reasonable excuse for PLAYING hockey, let alone winning the Stanley Cup

They have as much an excuse for playing hockey as the Blue Jays do for playing baseball, I would think.

Why do people continue to think they can beat out Vladdy Guerrero's throw home from right field? It makes great highlights, though.

OK then....just wanted to say what a fantastic effort by Michael Campbell in the US Open....yeah always knew he had the right stuff after a 3rd in the British Open early in his career, but just a lot of bad luck with injury and the likes he just never got there....well yesterday he did, so I'm hoping this is the boost he needs to get on to greatness...yeah well done Cambo....

Miller: Skiing drunk 'not easy'
Olympic favorite tells 60 Minutes he may do it again
Posted: Thursday January 5, 2006 6:59PM; Updated: Thursday January 5, 2006 6:59PM
NEW YORK (AP) -- Bode Miller knows he puts his life at risk when he skis drunk, but the outspoken Olympic favorite admits he may try the dangerous activity again.
"Talk about a hard challenge right there. ... If you ever tried to ski when you're wasted, it's not easy," Miller told 60 Minutes for a segment that will air Sunday. "Try and ski a slalom when ... you hit a gate less than every one second, so it's risky. You're putting your life at risk. ... It's like driving drunk, only there are no rules about it in ski racing."
Asked if the risk meant he would never ski drunk again, Miller replied "No, I'm not saying that."
In the interview, the 28-year-old Miller acknowledged that his partying has affected his performance in the past.
"There have been times when I've been in really tough shape at the top of the course," he said.
Miller, the defending World Cup overall champion and a two-time silver medalist at the Salt Lake City Olympics, was also blase about the possibility of winning gold in Turin.
"Whether somebody wants me to get five gold medals or whatever it is, I sort of feel like they are all other people's concerns and issues, not really mine. ... I don't really care what everybody else says," he said.
Miller has drawn attention -- and criticism -- for his outspokenness before. He has called drug rules in skiing that he deems too strict "a joke" and was fined last month for refusing to take a boot test after a World Cup slalom race.

No way would I ever sky drunk ... Or stoned for that matter !!
When we were young, during spring skiing season, there were so many people on the slopes and the snow conditions were so terrible that we always ended up making a few runs early in the morning and then find a nice spot to get a nice tan, throw snow balls at friends in the chairlifts and eat and drink the rest of the day away ...
We were pretty mellow by the time we had to get down the mountain and that particular ski center had a small brook at the base of the slopes which was overflowing at that time of the year ...
More than a few of us ended up missing the bridge and falling into the icy water ever weekend !!
LoLoLoL !!
