Amazing I could be so fed up with players and woners, and yet end up being more excited about this season than I have been in years.

If day one is any indication, the new rules etc seem to be creating an energized, more fan appealing vibe. Still not sure on the whole shootout thing. Doesn't sit right. The 4 on 4 Overtime is lots of fun.
Most importantly, Lindros made it through game 1 without getting concussed.

LOL Phil! Never could get into hockey ... even when I lived in the frozen north, it just didn't do anything for me. Of course, I never caught Karl on the ice, either. |
