OK, some new artists. I've also put a few really cheesy ones just to make it more of a challenge (to find something you actually like). :-)

Michael: Freedom / Careless Whisper Depeche Mode: don't know enough of their stuff Mariah Carey: gonna have to agree with Vision of Love / One Sweet Day Celine Dion: Titanic Theme (not because it's a great song, but because it's just so easy to laugh at that it makes me happy) / All Coming Back to Me Now Janet Wacko: All For You / Rhythm Nation

Pretenders - Best: I'll Stand By You/Worst: Brass In Pocket. I know it's considered a classic, but when she starts in with that "gonna use my arms, gonna use my legs" part it just makes my skin crawl.
The Police/ Sting - Best: Synchronicity II/Worst: Love Is The Seventh Wave. I haven't heard it in decades, but it still makes me cringe. Ugh.
Duran Duran - Best: Rio/Worst: Hungry Like the Wolf Wham/G.Michael - Best: Waiting For That Day/Worst: Careless Whisper - talk about a song I don't care if I never hear again in my entire life...
Depeche Mode - Best: World In My Eyes/Worst: Somebody
Mariah Carey - Best: Vision of Love, her first single. Unfortunately it was all downhill from there./Worst: That duet with Boyz II Men. I can't think of anything more horrible than the two acts that together virtually ruined R&B trying to out-caterwaul each other.
Celine Dion - Best: I can't. I just can't. I tried, but I can't./Worst: Either the Jim Steinman thing or the R. Kelly thing
Janet Jackson - Best: The Pleasure Principle/Worst: Rhythm Nation. Trying to change the world through dance music. That worked real well.

Okay, since I invented (or stole and brought here) this game, it's time for me to say that those of you who are listing MULTIPLE songs are jackasses!!!! The challenge is to pick ONE song. It's called a challenge because in some cases, it's a hard thing to do. You have to pick ONE. And it's gotta be one on EACH side. In some cases, it's hard to come up with a bad song. To my ear for example, The Clarks just don't record a bad song. But I have to choose one if The Clarks are an option (not that they would be, since I'd be the only one who could answer) Likewise, with some crappy artists, it's hard to find a good song. But that's the challenge there ... to find SOMETHING good out of everything happy. Now quit being assholes!!!!!

Lionel Richie - Oh No / Dancin on the Ceiling Paula Abdul - Cold Hearted Snake / Rush Rush The Bangles - In Your Room / Walk Like an Egyptian Taylor Dayne - I'll Always Love You / Tell it To My Heart Hall & Oates - Your Kiss is On My List / Maneater Roxy Music/B.Ferry - Slave to Love / As Time Goes By (love the song, but this version is slightly weak ... and anyone who knows me knows that was a challenge since in my mind, Bryan Ferry's voice can do NO wrong and has the same effect on me as Vince Vaughn ... now if they ever use any Bryan Ferry music in a Vince Vaugh movie ... Lord help us all!) Guns N' Roses - Cold November Rain / the song they did for that Arnold Schwartzeneger movie with the little boy who grew up to be a drug addicted nut Tom Petty - American Girl / Don't Come Around Here No More
