Drum -- I didn't mean to say that Coldplay were literally on the same level as Simple Minds, just that each band elicits a similar response from me in terms of highs and lows. SM's highs were definitely much, much higher. And Simple Minds were certainly a second tier band of the first order (sort of an eighties version of the Animals, or Rocky's beloved Zombies, IMHO).
Does that make any sense?

I vote for SIGUR ROS.
...Or at least I would, if they were among the list of acts I could vote for.
And I'm not gonna vote for any on that list.

Does that make any sense? Second tier my ass. Maybe in terms of popularity, but the Zombies were the #3 or 4 band of their era. Bitch.

"Time of the Season" was one of my absolute favorite songs when I was a kid.

I knew that Zombies comment would get a reaction from Rocky. Like I said, a second tier band of the first order.

Does that make any sense? Ken, I was more responding to the vagaries of the thread on the subject than your initial post, so yeah, I can see where you’re coming from. Second tier band of the first order – I can go with that. Nice job of yanking Rocky’s chain so effectively, btw. On the poll as framed, I went with Muse.

That's because you're special needs and you like Bob Dylan. Muse don't even know what a fucking harmonica looks like. They're the best on that list.

The fact that The White Stripes are beating Muse threatens the credibility of this site somewhat.
