Wow... deliberating since February and it's, what, 6 months later? Still, I guess that's a blink of the eye in Libran terms. I also think Librans bottle stuff up so much that they're the biggest potential psychos in the zodiac. They stew and they stew, but then do they blow...! Paul, what is that album cover in your avatar? the Who - Odds & Sods You should check it out sometime - it's a b-side/outtake album - rumor has it the songs were selected by the Ox himself. "Still, I guess that's a blink of the eye in Libran terms. " ;D I don't stew over things too much - sometimes a bit too much reflection, reminiscing. Things get me down and all, and I'll dwell a bit much, focus on the negative, etc...But if I get pissed off, I'll let it out, or just blow it off b/c it doesn't really bother me all that much.

I know you just posted four times in a row but still, how can you have that many posts, paul?? 5,204? more than twice what i have? you cheated somewhere.
i never liked the Who, ever. i've tried to use this to prove to people i am not human, along with my loathing for the Simpsons and apple pie.
of course, i always hated bon scott too, but suddenly i just cannot get enough AC/DC, it's awful! the butt rock beast has awoken in me and cannot be tamed.

Speaking of posting, where the hell is Holzman? I'll have to email the Holz, sure he's just busy or something. Though he did warn that there might come a time in the not too distant future where he might have to go AWOL for a few months. How dare he not be around while I'm able to put in a bit of posting time. Hey everyone - nice to see y'all on the RDLPS thread. Post more! Dolly and I want to have the 100 page celebration extravaganza.Absolutely! Posh n Becks (Britain extends it's apologies, btw) 'welcome to LA' bash will pale in comparison to ours. Don't know about you Paul, but this is what I intend on wearing (black cat n' all):

I got my post count up largely b/c of the Title Tag stuff. When I first started posting here, Fuzz and I used to go back and forth with all of those thread - they don't get updated as frequently now The Who, Simpson's, and Apple pie?!? You my dear are not from this world And you hate the mighty Bon Scott? Well, at least you're listening now It's a good, good thing to awake your inner rock beast. Everyone should try at some point - it cleanses the soul. So any AC/DC songs kicking your arse right now?

well i just hated bon scott's voice, for the longest time i thought he was a woman. (i also thought tina turner was a man.) i'm pretty picky with my vocalists actually. eddie vedder tops the list for sheer gut-wrenching loathing.
but it was weird, i had a night (well, day actually, since i was working nights at the time) of gin drinking and AC/DC listening with my ex and his roommate a few months back, and it's like some fundamental facet of my personality changed. i just can't get enough. i love it all.
then i went to see Maximum Overdrive in a double feature in portland and it was like some deep and long-unfulfilled need had been satisfied, haha. there is no going back.

You've broken my heart. My list topper is Mr. Geddy Lee of Rush. I dig some Vedder vocals though - I like his multiple styles. The classics we (by we I mean I) love him for like "Alive", the anger and venom from "Not For You", the somber reflective Vedder from "Off He Goes", the alt rocker from "Do The Evolution", and the regenerated, my voice is back Vedder on the Avocado album. Mr. Vedder speaks to me like few other artist have - for that I'll always be very grateful for Pearl Jam. Boozing and listening to AC/DC = good time. I can't believe you went and saw Maximum Overdrive in the theater recently. That is so kick ass on many levels; I'm jealous. Who Made Who is a killer song.

seeing that double feature was definitely a peak for me. i think i've mentioned this here but i had broken my glasses the week before, so i had to wear my (intimidatingly large) prescription sunglasses for a whole week. ended up sitting in this dark old theatre with my sunglasses on, a beer in my hand, staring up at emilio estevez being all serious yelling at semi trucks. i'm sure i looked like a total tard badass.
re vedder: i totally respect the man, i'm not saying he's not talented and indeed, pearl jam are an incredible band. just grates in my brain. everyone has a band they know they should love but can't.

I'd like to see video footage of you at that movie - it's definitely badass!
Hmm, bands I should love but I don't - interesting subject....this I need to ponder on.
I don't really like Rush, but lots of folks feel that way b/c they share my loathing for Geddy Lee's vocals.

Oh yeah, have you ever given 'No Code' a spin? That's the record I recommend to non PJ fans. It's more reflective, tribal, and somber with a dose of classic and punk rock.

Didn't end up making it to the show unfortunately. I was kinda looking forward to it, but at the same time, I'm not much for massive festivals.
I'm in a dry spell for live gigs this summer. Typically during the summer I see a few gig act gigs, a few almost big/indie bands at the 9:30, and a few gigs at the local spots around these parts. This summer, nothing! I am however going to catch Gist tonight @ Solly's in DC -11th & U. And in September seeing Travis Morrison - Gist opening - @ the Iota.
