Now DED is gone and Phil is back there can be no threat from the Springsteen saddo board.
Alright!

Yep, w/o DED and Holz, I think the Springsteen board will fade - Until DED rises like the Phoenix, and Holz returns from exile.
Long live the RDLPS thread - cheers!
Oh, Dolly, I relistened to some of the 'Origin of Symmetry' album a bit. I really liked "Hyper Music".
I hope you're not offended by my lack of Muse reports. Honestly, it takes me a long time to warm up to bands I'm not familiar with - sometimes like 5 years. I end up liking a band well after their time has come. I tend to miss the trends initially, then when the band is long gone, yours truly finally warms up to them.

Paul, I'm not offended at all. I'm really not expecting lengthy reviews or anything - it's just nice to share music with someone who is unfamiliar with a band you like. YSI'd those albums to Holz as well, but I'm not sure he was overly impressed. Most of my CDs are still in boxes at the moment after the move. Getting really tired of the same few CDs. Usually they're the first things I unpack but with starting a new school in the same week - they just haven't been priority. Having too much fun watering my pot plants truth be told Supposed to be seeing iLiKETRAiNs on Monday but the ticket agency haven't sent me my tickets (or may have sent them to the old address even after I informed them of my new one). Looking like I won't be able to go anyway, but I'd been hyped about it for ages. Grrrr.

You have pot plants? Nice! I've been thinking of having one, maybe two, just for personal use. I got the idea watching the 'Weeds' season 2 DVD - great show by the way. Anyway, on the bonus features, they instruct you how to grow "tomatoes". I need a place of my own, and some decent closet space, but this is something I want to do in the near future. I tried throwing some seeds in a regular plant I have, they started to sprout, but died b/c of lack of light.
What's iLiKETRAiNS? Never heard of 'em.
I hear you about getting tired of the same CD's - Lately, one of Melon's mixes has been keeping me happy, and as usual, I listen to pandora.com at work. That station has been a real help to me. I was honestly ready to give up on new music, but I've come across some newer bands (last decade) that I really like.

I really don't care much for Ray Davies, but if this is where dolly hangs out, then I hope I may eventually join in...

If I get some spare time at some point, I'm gonna start up a "Swinging Party" where all I do is talk about Paul Westerberg and the mighty 'mats. Me and Bow will have that one up over a hundred pages in no time flat! if bein' afraid is a crime we'll hang side by side, at the swingin' party in the sky.

Yep...the magic 100 within reach!
By all means JAC, we'd love to see you posting on here. Anyone and everyone is welcome (though I confess to feeling niggled when the aforementioned PEW stopped by) !
We don't confine to Ray-talk at all. We just mention him once in a while if we feel he's being neglected. And of course when we feel inclined to lament the lack of a hinted at Kinks reunion (come on broths D - what are you waiting for? ? ?).

For our(infrequent)permanent Ray Davies residents ...
Kinks singer in CD giveaway deal The newspaper website is also offering a free single to download Former Kinks singer Ray Davies has agreed a deal to give away his new album Working Man's Cafe with the Sunday Times newspaper.
The promotion follows a similar deal in which The Mail on Sunday gave away free copies of Prince's latest CD.
Davies said he was "truly excited that 1.5 million copies will be distributed to people who'll hear it organically... the way it was intended".
The album will come free with the UK newspaper on 21 October.
In addition, Vietnam Cowboys, a track from the album, will be available as a free download on the newspaper's website from this Sunday.

It's getting harder to want to pop in of late, Phil, but I do keep an eye on this board as a rule.
Yeah we got that Prince CD - not that I'm inclined to listen to it or anything. Not sure how we ended up with it either as the Daily Mail is one of the most loathsome fascist rags around.
Anyhoos, cheers for posting the article, Phil, I'll be first in the queue - and thankfully it comes with a decent paper this time. Last week was the TH docu 'Stop Making Sense', which I'm very much looking forward to watching during half term.
